Huffington Post Polls shows Clinton at 47% and Trump at 41%. Clinton is trending up, Trumpo is trending down. Looks like Trump's over the edge blather of the last few days is taking it's toll. Time to hum the happy, Happy, Joy Joy song.

After the conventions, the Clinton-Kaine ticket leads the Trump-Pence ticket by 10 points (49-39 percent) in the race for the White House. Clinton’s advantage is outside the poll’s margin of error. A month ago, Clinton was up by six points (44-38 percent, June 26-28).

Though we're sometimes the poster child for red state ridiculousness, our Democratic party folks can surprise you. My district's Congressional rep is not just a Democrat, but a religiously unaffiliated bisexual Democrat. Gabby Giffords was a very popular Democrat, and of course before she left to run DHS, we had Democratic governor in Janet Napolitano.

Our Senators - McCain and Flake - are Republicans, but comparatively moderate. Trump didn't do himself a lot of favors here by trashing McCain's service, and Flake has said he has no plans to vote for Cheeto Jesus.
 
Because voting in the States is not compulsory, do polls at this stage matter? I suppose they could influence some people, and becoming self fulfilling. Anyway', it seems the Trumpster loses votes each time he opens his mouth.

I don't want us to get complacent, though. We need "YUGE" democratic voter turn out. I don't think my apprehension from the thought of the Big Cheeto as President until the election is called.

Agreed, it's also important for the down ballot races, not just beating Trump.
 
Now in Holy Fuckistan Poll land, WMUR has a poll for NH. It isn't the 15 point lead for Clinton that is the shocking part. Well... okay, it is, but not until you find out the next part. Among Republicans, only 63% are vying for Trump (That means 2 in 5 really don't like him). To make matters worse, more Republicans are swaying towards Clinton than Johnson, which indicates to me it is a pragmatic flop to keep Trump from winning.

This, to me, implies the poll, while maybe a little off, is not much of an outlier. A candidate who doesn't have the strong support of his own party will not win an election. Now, some may sway at the last moment, assuming Trump makes it to the Finish Line, but this is a terrible sign.

I read that article, and it talks little about the last days of Rome. Most of it is moaning and groaning about governments spending money on things that the author dislikes, and the author did not even try to make detailed comparisons.

Pollsters in the USA weight their results by voting likelyhood, angelo. Each demographic group has detailed figures for voter turnout. If my group has a 70% turnout, say, my answer to the poll is weighted .7 for example. I think this is pretty standard.

On the other side of the Arizona coin, one has Sheriff Aleppo, a gaggle of state legislators fawning over the Bundy clowns (see below), Repug Gov. Brewer has had to veto quite a few right wing whacked out bills as too outrageous from AZs very whacky state legislature. But Arizona's dichotomy seems to be between internal serious wackiness balanced with generally more "normal" people being sent to Washington as compared to some of the other red states.

Polls released today in NH, PA, and a national Rasmussen all report the same thing, Trump's numbers are falling among Republicans, significantly. Manafort needs to cancel all speeches and throw Trump's phone in to a lake. Maybe hope his own party forgets the nuttiness.

And Trump is polling less than that NH Senator he was dissing for not supporting him and laughing at because he was doing better than her. One more of his dumb-assed comments coming back to bite him in the ass.

It sounds, however, that Manafort has just kind of given up trying to control Trump. It's a wasted effort to even attempt it. Also, Trump is a billionaire (or, at least, a millionaire). He can just go out and get a new phone whenever he wants and have some faceless minion set his twitter account up on it.
 
Ballotpedia says they could take a shot with the courts.
