Trump caught on a hot mic talking about groping women

Explain the hypocrisy. At what point did Clinton sexually assault Lewinsky? Trump is bragging about just going up and groping women he meets. Clinton was engaging in consensual sex with another adult. I really don't see what the comparison is that you're drawing to have attitudes be hypocritical.

When men are together, it's not uncommon for them talk about women (and their conquests of women). Any guy who says he's never had a conversation like that with other guys is either an emasculated weenie or a liar. Really, each and every one of us has said things with friends that we'd rather not have recorded. Heck, could you imagine what having a conversation with Bill Clinton might be like?

People keep bringing up hypocrisy like they suddenly have the moral highground when they don't in any way shape or form.

So you agree it's a non-issue?

Any guy who says he's never had a conversation like that with other guys is either an emasculated weenie or a liar.

I had no idea talking about women in a crude manner meant you're a "real man". Do tell more.

The left should really stop defending Clinton. Remember, the whole reason that the Lewinsky affair came to light was because he was under trail for sexually harassing another woman. Also, he has been accused of sexual assault for groping a woman.

And anyway, the President of the United States having sex with a White House intern would certainly represent a huge power differential.

Who said that? I'm just saying what men do. I mean, it was one of the consistent shticks of Seinfeld. Playing ignorant here isn't going to get you points.

And that's just the ones who have publicly come forward. Considering Trump's track record of lawsuits and retaliatory behaviour in business, I could see some women being very nervous about speaking publicly about similar situations.

My guess is by the end of next week there will be a lot more reports.
He can't deny groping because of this. It'll be Cosby all over again.

Man, usually the second Presidential debate drops in ratings, but tonight, it'll likely be higher. This is just insane.

You said it's emasculating to not speak of women in that manner. Do you understand your own fucking words you type? Fuck off.

I have never had a conversation where I said I tried to "fuck" a married woman (much less against her will), that I can't help go up and start kissing a woman against her will, or that I am so awesome that I can go up and grab them by the "pussy." I'm not lying, so I guess I'm an emasculated weenie in your eyes. Somehow that doesn't seem to bother me in the least. Go figure.

You've never talked about women with your friends, ever? But yet you can jump right to "fuck off" on a discussion board. Well done, GN, well done.

You've never talked about your experience with women with your friends? Ever? And guys tend to exaggerate their exploits, ya know. Didn't realize that this board was populated with the Sunday School crowd.

Actually, no, I haven't. I've heard guys claim how magnificent they are back when we were in high school (maybe some into college) while I rolled my eyes, but they all grew up. Too bad everyone can't.

Ah, groping.

Some are too ignorant to understand that Bill Clinton is not running for president.

But a person who is constantly defends him. And Trump didn't actually grope anyone. But there are those who abused their power to do so:

Then he showed me some personal memorabilia: a pastel of Caroline, a terracotta bust of a young boy. I noticed he was moving closer and closer. I could feel his breath on my neck. He put his hand on my shoulder.
‘This is a very private room,’ he said. The next thing I knew, he was standing in front of me, his face inches away, his eyes staring directly into mine.
He placed both hands on my shoulders and guided me toward the edge of the bed. I landed on my elbows, frozen halfway between sitting up and lying on my back.
Slowly, he unbuttoned the top of my shirtdress and touched my breasts. Then he started to pull off my underwear.

But that was a Democrat, so it's okay.

You may suffer from low T. There is, I'd say, an unmistakable relationship between sexual drive and success. Just an observation.

Exactly. Most people grow up. Apparently, Trump and his pathetic defenders have not.

I'm sorry. I missed the part in your quote where Clinton was bragging about sexual assault. What were his words on they subject?

Nobody's saying that guys don't make dirty and disparaging talk about women. That's very different from bragging about being able to get away with assaulting them. The latter is what Trump was doing and is the heart of the disgust against him.

If you don't have quotes of Clinton doing that, then there's no hypocrisy in someone being disgusted with Trimp and not Clinton.

Tom, I'd hope you agree that there's a difference, even if slight, between talking about sexual conquests with your friends and actually committing sexual assault. I mean - Juanita Broadrick, Paula Jones, etc.

Yeah, that was my initial thought too. But I've had to re-evaluate my position in part from the discussions on this board, and my dear wife and daughter who've patiently explained to me why I was wrong. Trump's comments are not merely sexual banter of the type that I and many other men have engaged in. He did indeed brag about committing sexual assault. And there's more to it than just that. There are now several women saying he committed such assaults. His own wife made a detailed allegation of an extreme rape. There is talk of him being able to go back stage at beauty pageants to leer at the women while they changed clothes. Aides on his shows had to protect women who weren't so attractive from being fired by Trump. And there is a long history of other comments about women made in public that are utterly misogynistic. Bleeding from her whatever. The quotes that were revealed the other day can't just be taken in isolation. Yes, we've all said crude things about women we've seen. Some are actually pretty funny. But, Trump has gone far beyond that.

Ah, so now not only do you have medical degree and can diagnose me based on my desire to keep private matters private, you can also judge my success in life based on a couple comments on a message board. Truly impressive! :rolleyesa:

Once again, Clinton is not running for President, so the "Trump's bad, but Bill Clinton is worse" argument is not only pathetic sideshow, but it ignores Trump's alleged sexual assaults.
