US President 2016 - the Great Horse Race

Yeah. Not like there's anything at stake. Fuck it. Let it all burn.

Yup, and it's a good thing, when Hillary's political career burns to the ground and the Dems lose ground they had for too long taken for granted, suddenly they may show a newfound appreciation for their voter base, especially the newer generation. Not voting is simply the most impactful thing I could have done, in doing so I have proclaimed that I am not to be taken for granted as a partisan voter like my parents and grandparents.

And not a single soul will be hurt.

Which raises the question of why the hell did Democrats choose her as the nominee during the primaries.

Because the primaries are for democrats and ignore independants or left-sympathetic republicans.
No. The primaries are supposedly so the party members can select the Democrat politician they think is the best of the party to run for president.

I could also ask why the hell Republicans chose Trump as their nominee. But I do understand that it was because the rank and file Repubs were sick of their establishment politicians.

Eh, good. If Hillary loses by a landslide it will really cement the lesson in place.

There will be a lesson to be learned, but there also needs to be a capacity to learn to cement a lesson. I'll wait till 2020 to make my judgement...

PA for Trump??? Looks like there could be a recount situation as he only leads by a few thousand, but not looking good for Hillary.

Well, that's what the Bernie guys were saying. Let's hope they're right.

If nothing else, this will cause the political pendulum to finally swing back as it does.

The progressive left will be galvanized and less complacent and the DNC will be more willing to play to the demands of their voter base.

This may have an effect on toning down the regressive left too. That is another silver lining here. The regressives are very much what built up Trump.

If you're going to hold that against me rather than the terrible policies of the president elect, then i'd say your disappointment is mayhaps a touch misplaced.

And the bonus is that there's no actual people in the crossfire. This is all on paper and nobody has to deal with the after-effects of policy decisions. No one gets hurt. It is all a simulation that can't impact reality. Politicians learn their lessons and make adjustments in the next election cycle, and they're the only ones who have to deal with the fallout of their choices.

That's a good point. Stay out of my game room, and don't tell me I need to use "person" when "man" or "woman" are clearly known.

Or simply stayed home like me, because at this point why bother?

You stayed home?! Fuck you! And all morons thinking like you.
But most: fuck the idiots that voted for a complete moron. (Which you also did since you didnt vote)

I mean in all honesty I haven't been living here long enough to vote anyway BUT even if I had I still wouldn't have voted, at least not for her.

The entire reason we get weak candidates like Hillary in the first place is that people like you capitulate far too easily.

New Hampshire effectively tied. Michigan still possible, but PA looks lost.

Sometimes it takes serious sacrifice to get somewhere (anywhere--let alone ahead).
