A day without stupid?

The following is worn out but...

What if Obama had claimed to have a higher IQ than say, anyone? It would have been the lead on every retarded Fox segment, the top of the hour on Limbaugh, etc.
If Hillary would have bragged about her intelligence? Elitist!

Trump?

Just another day in the good ol' U.S of Dumbfuck.

It brings my favourite Thatcher quote to mind:

"Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't"
/Margaret Thatcher
Yep, that is a good quote. The incessant need for self-puffery is a strange thing to watch. It is even more amazing when one has had reasonable success, especially in terms of fame. I have an in-law with similar traits, but w/o the money, fame, or scale of success (even if FFvC was born with a gilded spoon up his ass)...and the in-law really gets into the 'look at me'...'I'm so good'...

Not that the Trumpeteers will care, but Don the Con spewed forth more provable bullshit...

"The Failing @nytimes set Liddle' Bob Corker up by recording his conversation. Was made to sound a fool, and that's what I am dealing with!"

And the NYTs was happy to shove it back. Where in the article they provide the audio clip of Corker stating:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/10/...d-bob-corker-heres-the-truth.html?mtrref=t.co
"I know they're recording it, and I hope you are too," he said as two of his aides listened in on the other lines

Today in Stupid: Trump to Tell Truckers Silly Bullshit. Many Will Believe Him

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...x-plan-pennsylvania-event-truckers/752364001/

In his speech, the president will also make a new claim, according to the official: That the typical American household could see a salary raise of $4,000 on average from a provision encouraging major U.S. companies to bring back – or repatriate – profits currently stored overseas.

The official did not provide any details about the calculation behind Trump's claim.

Really though, isn't this more about willfully stupid people believing an obvious lie. So maybe this is inappropriate for this thread... Hmm. No. It's probably a fair argument that since Trump likely has no fucking clue about how our tax system works that he believes every word he's saying, thus, the requisite Stupid for this thread has been met.

Incredible that they think that Apple moving cash back onto US soil will mean they'll just give it to their workers. What the fuck is wrong with this guy?! And I could be mistaken, but how many small businesses (the large employer of people) have such large piles of cash overseas? The claims are just ridiculous. Though they must realize that the tax cut isn't going to help middle class workers, so they have to make this unbelievable tale up.
More stupid today: He implied that NBC should have their broadcast licenses revoked for airing a story about his desire to increase the nuclear weapon stockpile. (Wanting to increase the stockpile is stupid. Wanting to shut down NBC is fascism.)
Especially when NBC, to my knowledge, doesn't have a "broadcast license". They are independently owned stations (well conglomerate owned, regardless...).

One of the higher up comments to Trump's license tweet states: "NBC and CNN were given their licenses to provide NEWS, not Leftist Propaganda! "

Just how fucked are we as a nation at this point?

I think 'willfully stupid people' is the more probable description. Don the Con has managed his LLC's over the decades by playing the tax code, so that is something he probably does have a decent understanding of, even if accountants handle the details. But yeah, the idea that a tax cut/reform coming from the Repugs/FFvC is going to provide the working middle class anything more than peanuts is a joke.

But he did tweet quite a bit today suggesting that he might be concerned about his infighting with Repugs could damage the their hopes for a significant tax bill. Ergo, if nothing comes to pass and the markets have a correction, he'll be ready to pass the buck again...

I assume the 'they' is the Administration and/or Repug leaders...they of course know it is BS. What is wrong with FFvC? Do you have a couple hours? He is a narcissist and facts and the truth are just trifles to be used when convenient. Unfortunately, far too many fools will believe this tale. One of my in-laws (college educated redneck evangelical), back around 2013 was bitching about how Obama had made a mess of the stock markets.

Just how fucked are we as a nation at this point?
Properly fucked :D

"Properly fucked"implies the fucking is over. We're still taking it hard and dry.

Yeah what Keith said...

I'll blame the English...but I did partly misstate it, I should have said: Proper fucked

As I played with a meme from the movie 'Snatch'
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fucked proper
When you are truly put in the position that no matter what happens after that point, you cannot win whatever conflict you are currently involved in.

Well what happens if they catch the rabbits? Then they're fucked proper, Tommy.

Nixonian.

WashingtonPost.com: The Watergate Watershed -- A Turning Point for a Nation and a Newspaper

The Post was ahead on the story from the beginning. And from the beginning, Nixon began making threats of economic retaliation against the paper. "The Post is going to have damnable, damnable problems out of this one. They have a television station . . . and they're going to have to get it renewed. . . . [T]he game has to be played awfully rough." Of our lawyer, Nixon said, "I wouldn't want to be in Edward Bennett Williams's position after this election. We are going to fix the son of a bitch, believe me."

What I want to know:

Current US nuclear weapons stockpile is around 5000 pieces.
If the story is true, and Cheato is lusting after a stockpile more in the 50,000 piece range,
WHAT PLANET IS HE PLANNING TO ATTACK ONCE THIS ONE IS A MOLTEN SLAG-HEAP?

Look Buzz a FFvC heading for Mars...
View attachment 12735

It would be worth it, even if he was headed for NYC. As long as he goes down with it...

Thanks for all the fish...

Sorry, but you said "ONCE THIS ONE IS A MOLTEN SLAG-HEAP"

That's weird. How does having 50,000 nuclear weapons make your army somehow stronger than one with 500 nuclear weapons?

It really depends on what he is actually saying and why. Some times it is for lack of confidence, and other times it is about feeling underappreciated.

Being set up can be about what Corker really said on tape, not because he was supposedly unaware of the recording.
