My apologies if there already is a thread on this.

Anyway, the latest in the Ingraham-Hogg kerfuffle: Bayer is now the 16th company to drop Ingraham in the wake of her attempts to bully a child survivor of a terrible tragedy:

What the [bad word] is wrong with people? I don't care how conservative you are, it's not OK to bully children who survived a major violent tragedy. I don't care how uncomfortable it is for you to admit that you are wrong, your discomfort is less important than the lives and suffering of a large number of American children.

We can hear her POV after her place of work gets shot up.

*not advocating for that to happen*

Don't normally agree with you much Under, but this is one of them. But talk show hosts are always pushing the limit and this was too far.

Her viewers want her to push the line, that is why is she is fun for them to watch.

This is live by the sword die by the sword.

Pushing the limits? Remember when Limbaugh was a staunch conservative and Hannity was a teenaged horn dog?

Now Limbaugh is defending Trump who is starting a tariff war with Europe and China while Hannity sounds like Alex Jones regarding the "Deep State".

I think there is a lot of times the hosts don't really care what they are going after, but do it because they need to cause drama and go off the deep end. Fox keeps pushing it out further and further.

I think it has to do with the pigeonholing of society and the echo chamber that so many people find themselves in. Demonizing and laughing at your opponent is just kind of a thing that's done and she didn't think about the fact that the person she was mocking was a teenaged survivor of a recent tragedy.

Unfortunately for her, this kid is much smarter and more media savvy than she is and he swatted her like a bug.

She made fun of him for not getting into his college of choice or something like that. Then, after her advertisers started pulling out, she gave a heartfelt apology that was in her financial self-interest.

Meanwhile, Ted Nugent has shitted off at the mouth and is taking a lot of heat for his tin eared balderdash and bullying. Now Captain Poopy Pants is claiming it is he who is the victim here! Ahhhhh! Poor little victim! Poorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr little victim.

Now Ingraham is taking a week off to try to get the furor to calm down and hope she still has a job at the end of the week.

oh. I expected more.
Yeah, a right-wing Fox show host publicly tweets out of the blue about a student who goes to a school that was shot up, mocking him.

Yeah, I suppose that isn't taking a shit on his front lawn, but it is more than just nothing

They’re slow to realize that teenagers have 21st century weapons and know how to use them. She should take a month off, and hope for someone else to do something even more ill-advised than she did.

...I'd have thought that the Nazi salute she threw on national tv was a hint to not advertise on her show, but whatever...

Is Laura Ingraham going to claim that she feels like she's being attacked by the alien pizza bats of ST:TOS "Operation: Annihilate"?

...
Her criticism on Wednesday, March 28 led Hogg to call for a boycott of sponsors of the show. That sparked an advertiser bailout, and on Thursday, “The Ingraham Angle” lost so many sponsors that it had only 8 minutes and 45 seconds of ad time — down 40 percent from average. She shed another minutes and 45 seconds the next night, leading to a total decline of 52 percent.

Ingraham lost five of her Top 20 advertisers: Bayer, Hulu, Johnson & Johnson, Liberty Mutual, and Wayfair.
....

Bitch slapped!

Hopefully, other Fox slimers will take notice.

Regardless of what you think of the politics of Ingraham or Hogg, there are some videos of of Hogg where is very abrasive. About as abrasive as Ingraham.

Probably she has watched all of those clips (likely not in full context) of Hogg being abrasive and read all of her sides "takedowns" of him.

So, this abrasive side of Hogg is probably not well known to others and really shouldn't matter so much. But it is like him sticking his tongue out at his older sister or slapping her, but the parents only see the older sister smacking him in the face.

What do y'all here think of Kyle Kashuv?

Personally, I don't care too much about gun control either way.

Also, I mostly dislike Ingraham on a visceral level for what it is worth.

There is a 99.99999% chance Ingraham has seen this video.

Ingraham didn't criticize his manners or his language. She didn't attack his argument. She didn't refute any points he has raised. She mocked him about not getting into the college he really wanted to attend. She was trying to discredit him as a spokesperson for victims of a gun violence by calling him a whiner, and implying he was a loser.
