"Reverse Mentors" for Male, Pale, and Stale professors

They are seriously assigning white male profs in England female non-white "mentors" to make the feel uncomfortable and feel ashamed to be male and white? Is the Telegraph a spoof site like the Onion?

Instead of throwing money at a problem by hiring people to help them be non-biased, why not fire them and just hire non-biased people in the first place?

Everyone isn't biased to the same degree such that every person would assume a black student is tresspassing.

Some find it odd that others take issue with the need to accept you're born a sinner and require Jesus to redeem you of original sin. Denying Jesus doesn't make the unconscious sin go away.

Liberal bias is an assumption that conservatives like to make. Frankly, I haven’t seen it in all the years and on all the campuses that I have been associated with. Sure, more liberal than say, my Southern Baptist cousins who decry liberalism but are mighty dependent on various welfare benefits. Frankly, I know university professors who are also libertarian. And ironically, happy to accept the raises and benefits their union negotiates for them. While decrying publicly funding education.

I think we can conclude liberals are more willing to perceive unconscious bias as a problem and more likely to try an unconventional approach to overcoming it.

It might not work. Or the results might be temporary. But at least they're willing to try to improve their social skills and become better mentors themselves.

This is a "problem" mainly in STEM where people are no that crazy about these issues, they understand that women are simply not interested in STEM.
