The Governor, supposedly a woman, possibly not, just signed into law the stupidest Abortion law ever. Even Pat Robertson said it went too far. A state with practically the highest infant mortality rate in the country wants to put OB/GYN’s in jail as felons. If they try to guess whether the mother's health is in danger, they could be wrong and go to jail.

From a friend, a little list.

1. You cannot have an abortion in this state even though it is a US constitutional right;
2. You cannot have an abortion in this state if you have been raped or are the victim of incest;
3. The infant mortality rate in this state is almost twice the national average;
4. This state does not track maternal mortality;
5. The woman/girl and baby are not entitled to prenatal care;
6. There is no right to health care for mother or baby, this is especially case for mental health services;
7. The adoption rate in this state is (on the high end) 16%;
8. Adopted children are not entitled to any services by virtue of being adopted and adoptive parents in this state are not entitled to any services;
9. The father has automatic visitation, without regard to whether or not he contributes to care or cost;
10. You cannot move out of this state with your baby if the father objects;
11. The state budget is in the red and regularly raids the education trust fund for general budget needs;
12. This state will now spend millions of dollars taking this case to the US Supreme Court.

This is a state where an 11 year old girl can be raped and forced to carry a baby to term without any real hope of safety or healthcare or any other care from this state and cannot get away from her attacker and take her baby and leave the state.

Separately, this state has pending legislation to make sexual assault victims pay for the attacker's court costs and lawyers fees if acquitted and go to jail for unproven claims.

Which means that this may well be a state where an 11 year old girl can be raped and forced to carry a baby to term without any real hope of safety or healthcare or any other care from this state and cannot get away from her attacker and take her baby and leave the state and where she can be put in jail and indebted to her rapist while he raises the baby.

This is not a pro-life state by any measure that matters. It’s just an embarrassment.

That witch is probably investing in clothes-hangers and knitting needles as we speak.

I think this is further proof that there is no god. If there were, he'd have struck them all dead.

JFC on a pogo stick... The fucking idiot behind this Alabama law just testified that all woman can still have abortions under this law... up until the point they know they are pregnant.

Seriously, that is exactly what he said... ON RECORD

I think it’s too late to work aborting that particular idiot legislator.

Something to keep in mind is that these people want to get rid of birth control, ie, "the pill" (not the abortion pill, but regular ole birth control pills). What he said clearly implies that he thinks this is a "compromise", allowing the use of the pill still.

Could potentially get him out of legislating by labeling a closet at the Legislature with a sign that reads "Rapture Closet". Stock a little coffee, magazines, hopefully he stays there a while.

It would be an absolutely horrible thing to say that all those involved in this should have their children raped and then forced to pay the rapist child support. absolutely horrible thing that no one should ever day to those people. It might even be considered a computer crime to dox their children's pictures, names, addresses, and schools attended.. their schedules. Prolly a very bad idea.

Is there a point to your post?

Fox News contributor, Tomi Lahren, even comes out against the bill:

https://www.aol.com/article/news/20...mas-abortion-ban-as-too-restrictive/23728807/

“I will be attacked by fellow conservatives for saying this but so be it, this Alabama abortion ban is too restrictive. It doesn’t save life, it simply forces women into more dangerous methods, other states or countries. You don’t encourage life via blanket government mandate!”

In branding herself in advance as a victim and a martyr by saying she will be "attacked" for espousing those views, how can other conservatives actually criticize her without it constituting an "attack" on her? I love it when 2 different people or groups, each with despicable views, disagree with each other but each portray themselves as victims against the oppression of the other. How can you win such a rhetorical war?

She also mentions:

P.S. you’re not God so don’t you dare evaluate my Christian faith based on your moral superiority complex.

Tomi, along with every other Christian fundamentalist---now would be a good time to check your irony meter's warranty.
