Pelosi: Impeachment Is Moving Forward

The GOP will be hanging by their teeth on "never received a clear answer" regarding reason for delay in aid comment.
Sonland is clearly lying when he says he did not know Burisma=Bidens

It feels like it... but with all the other bombs he’s throwing, why not this one?
What is a cold hard fact verses what is supposition maybe.

Meanwhile, the President apparently is blind.

Apparently, Trump seems to think people will believe that $400 million in aid was held back... for "nothing".

Sondland implicated everyone, including A$AP Rocky.

You gotta respect Vindman because he understands the legacy of Soviet totalitarianism and how he was able to escape it. I thought his testimony yesterday was much to that point.
He was 4 year old when he left USSR. At best his understanding is second hand and it's doubtful that his father had any first hand experience of totalitarianism either. They left because of their last name, not because they were some kind of dissidents. Don't get me wrong, he is a great patriot and all that. but lets not get beyond that, cause there are millions and millions of Russians (including me) who understand legacy of Soviet totalitarianism way way better than him.

Are we into the first hand/second argument here? You working for Gulianni? Good for you that you have a better understanding but I'm certain his understanding and his families memories of same will suffice for now.

The republicans seem to be saying, “we will not look at any testimony in context. We will say this person didn’t know it all, and that person didn’t know it all, therefore, we can’t connect the two bits so we claim there is no ALL.

So, did they have to open the loading dock in the Congress building so that Sondland could drive in that massive bus that he just threw everybody under?

Maybe Sondland doesn't want to share a cell with Bubba like many of Trumpo's other lieutenants. At some point Trump becomes poison, maybe Sondland figures it's better to not commit perjury when he knows there are lots of other witnesses and evidence.

Meanwhile, it seems like Nunes didn't get the memo on Sondland's testimony.
article said:
Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., appeared unprepared for President Donald Trump’s handpicked European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland to throw the president under the bus and admit a quid pro quo on Ukraine in his opening statement.

Sondland, who already revised his closed-door testimony to the House Intelligence Committee to acknowledge a quid pro quo, reiterated that there was one at Wednesday’s public hearing in the impeachment inquiry. Sondland claimed in his opening statement that he directly communicated the quid pro quo to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and kept acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Energy Secretary Rick Perry in the loop on his efforts to get Zelensky to commit to an “investigation” into the Bidens. Sondland also acknowledged that military aid was withheld at Trump’s direction to pressure Ukraine into launching the probe.

“We all understood that these pre-requisites for the White House call and White House meeting reflected President Trump’s desires and requirements,” he said. “Mr. Giuliani’s requests were a quid pro quo for arranging a White House visit for President Zelensky. Mr. Giuliani demanded that Ukraine make a public statement announcing investigations of the 2016 election/DNC server and Burisma.”

Nunes and the republican counsels reaction when they realize Sondland has turned.

This is the video in context of what was happening at that moment. This was after Sondland finished talking. Definitely exasperated after the train ran right over them.

Yeah that's amusing and all. But I think I know when 20 Republican Senators are going to vote to remove the dildo from office. That will happen after Trump starts shooting Senators whose fealty he finds suspect. When there are about 20 of them left, that's when they'll turn.

Yes, we are into the first hand/second argument here. You claimed that he had some kind of special understanding. I claim he may not have it at all. What we have here is republicans going overboard in their attack at decent or even outstanding military guy and then democrats and the guy himself going overboard trying to counteract that. The guy was born in USSR, he was lucky enough to have last name which allowed emigration, so they did, it was no-brainer, lots of people did the same, including Liev Parnas and that other guy.

"Special" is your description. He and his family certainly have a better understanding of it than myself, and that's what I said.

That's a very low standard. And I am not even sure it's true. Immigrants are often very unreliable witnesses with respect to life in their original countries. So you maybe ignorant but immigrants may not be objective and have all kind of incentives to exaggerate or even lie about the countries they left. I have seen immigrants going out of their way to be more American than actual Americans.

Yeah, I'm sure Lieutenant Colonel Vindman misses the old fishing hole back home where he went with his dad, those weekend shopping trips with mom, playing sports with his brother, all his schoolmates ... his loyalty to the USA is probably outweighed by those memories.

Oh, wait... he was three fucking years old.
