Pelosi: Impeachment Is Moving Forward

Should have included an article on obstruction into the Mueller investigation, or more directly included it in Article 2, which does have a brief mention of it. The McGahan obstruction is very blatant.
Trump (I mean Trump's lawyers) did submit answers to questions in the Mueller Investigation. Yes, there was obstruction, but Trump likely did barely enough to slip pass an obstruction charge. If there was a charge to be had, it'd be perjury, if they could determine he lied to the questions.

Personally, witness tampering is among the list of potential crimes he has committed and I wish he'd be held accountable for that.

I'm talking about ahow he directed McGahan to lie to press and alter official records to cover up that he asked him to fire Mueller.

And now that they haven't, it's too late. So this basically means the Mueller investigation is just over and forgotten in spite of the fact that he very clearly and deliberately did what he had to do in order to ensure the House could act on what he knew he could not.

Goddamnit Democrats! Republicans are all worthless pieces of shit not fit for continued existence, but at least they go for the jugular when they know it's time to kill. We think a high road and bunny hugs will solve everything.

Fucking hell.

on the one hand, I want to commend you for recognizing this, my main thesis that I brought here when I joined... on the other hand I really want to tell you TOO FUCK LITTLE TOO FUCKING LATE YOU BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT IDIOTS... but what good would that do.. get you to resign? <sigh>

You're mistaking taking the high road for being incompetent. I'm pissed off because we don't play dirty--and this screams for us to play dirty--but then that would just make us as bad as they are. If it were up to me, I'd command the army to throw Trump into a black site and no one would ever hear from him again. But, of course, that's not tenable however justifiable.

I'm at a loss to understand something here...

To hear the Trump administration tell it, they were laser-focused on ending corruption in Ukraine. It was kind of his thing. So much so that he sent his personal lawyer to address the issue. Gosh darn it Trump was going to clamp down on corrupt Ukrainians at all costs.

The number of corrupt Ukrainian officials targeted? Zero.

The names of all the corrupt Ukrainian officials where Trump brought to bear the weight of the US government? Non-existent.

In fact, the only people the Trump administration (and his back-channel pressure campaign) targeted were not Ukrainian at all.

The names of those targets? Biden, and Biden.

I mean, if you want to find a corrupt Ukrainian government official, all you really need to do is swing a dead cat in Kiev. Weird how they only found Hunter and Joe Biden, isn't it?

So you haven't been paying attention then. Let's see if I can spell it out for you.

I'll do the "It's also wrong to reject the will of the people in a legitimate democratic election as the Democratic party is doing" first because that is the most asinine and idiotic. Firstly, winning an election doesn't give you complete immunity to do whatever the fuck you want. I'm surprised that even has to be said. Secondly, Trump can't be impeached unless he is the fucking President, which means of course the Democrats recognize the results of the 2016 election. Trump's actions after the election are the grounds for impeachment. Your argument makes as much sense as "You can't fire me, you gave me the job two years ago! What I've done since is irrelevant!"

Now, as to lack of evidence. Where the fuck have you been? Let's start off with the doctored transcript where Trump is quoted say "I would like for you to do us a favour, though". Not incriminating in and of itself, but worrying. This is compounded by the fact Trump withheld aid to Ukraine, which is an overreach of his executive powers. That's impeachable offense number one.

Would you like some more examples? For instance using his personal lawyer to act in a de facto foreign policy official, the Ambassador to the UN and the Ambassador to Ukraine both testifying under oath that Trump specifically asked a foreign power to aid his election campaign, his Secretary of State say ON FUCKING CAMERA that this administration "does this kind of thing all the time", a decorated intelligence colonel testifying that this is exactly what happened and the fact the aid wasn't released until a whistleblower informed Congress about all of this.

And that's not including all the times Trump has profited from being President, a clear violation of the emoluments clause. No evidence indeed, what the fuck is wrong with you?

The facts also are that you and others here are Trumpet haters. Were he to discover a cure for all cancers, people like you would find something to criticise him for!

What a compelling argument.
Angelo: Trump did nothing wrong!
Reality: Here is what he did that was wrong
Angelo: There is no evidence!
Reality: Here are transcripts and sworn testimonies, including one from a guy who donated a million dollars to Trump in 2016. We'll be getting phone records shortly.
Angelo: You just hate Trump!
Reality: No shit Sherlock. The reason why we hate him is because he does shit like this. If he wasn't such a vile corrupt cunt, people would despise him less.

Isn't it the truth that had Trump been a Democrat none of this bullshit would even have surfaced? The hatred started the day he beat Killery!

Don't fool yourself or we'll have to start calling you angelo II. Everyone plays dirty, some dirtier than others and Trumpty Dumpty simply leads the dirt parade.

To be perfectly clear, I'm EQUATING taking the high road with being incompetent. "Playing dirty" is not only tenable and justifiable, but required. You can't win at a game that the other players are cheating at. The high road, since people are not competently navigating it, extends from "beating them with their own tricks" to "closing the loopholes that led to the tricks" after securing the country and our democracy.

Sure, but if our team plays as dirty as their team, doing so could bring the fans in the stands to fisticuffs. So that is one thing the democrats have to consider. Further, when Trump walks away from this unscathed, as he is likely to do, shall the democrats play just as dirty in the upcoming election? To what end? To dig up dirt on Trump? He is dirt. Shall the Dems attempt to sully the good name of Trump?
But yes, the one big gaping loophole that needs to be closed is that executive privilege should be suspended for the purpose of impeachment. There should be no ambiguity in this.

The Dems won the majority in the House in a landslide victory by taking the high road. Granted, the GOP took it in a landslide in '10 by taking the low road.

If the provocateur posters here got their way, our government would be on the brink of dictatorship because playing dirty will just escalate the pace to an ineffective Representative Democracy. I mean more ineffective than it is now.

GN has been advocating for dirty play by the Dems since he came here - he's consistent, and has a good set of supporting facts. I have sided with the sentiment that JH expresses above, but now I fear that a "clean" win in 2020 will come under attack and will probably be nullified by the Trump Junta.
Donald the Trump CANNOT leave the Whitehouse now that he has committed (possibly capital) crimes against the country over recent years, because if he leaves office he can be tried. There is no indication - NONE - that he is suddenly going to play by the rules if/when he loses the election. And there is even less indication that the election is going to be fair in the first place.

The type of "dirty" I imagine to be effective would be a faked audio recording of what very much sounds like him saying things to the order of "These MAGA idiots will do whatever I tell them - I can't lose, even when I'm fucking them right in their stupid faces.".. ignore proof its a fake and keep repeating it over and over. "these are my people! Their fucking morons, but their all I've got!"... Claim documents exist that his father was an illegal alien and Trump should be deported. Speak only of the popular vote and ignore there even exists the electoral college... just keep saying he lost the election.. "the government installed him even though he lost the election".

A great tip for Dems would be to assume nothing... A common mistake you all make is just laughing at a falsehood, like you assume everyone "gets" your inside joke. Guess what? NO ONE gets it. Not one person that matters. Everything must be spelled out using no greater than 5th grade English. If you need more than 5 words to sum something up, keep thinking about how you are going to say it. Accuracy is worthless without repeatability from someone that has never voluntarily opened a book.

Stop being way too smart for your own good. Think, "what would a caveman do in a situation like this".

Laughing stopped around mid 2017.

So a Caveman would doctor evidence? Someone allegedly faked a document and it was called out because of a subscript or a superscript. Despite the document accurately depicting the truth, the fact that it wasn't a genuine document regarding George W. Bush's Armed Guard service, it collapsed the entire issue.

Yes, the GOP fight unfairly. Project Veritass, Donald Trump's tweets, the Kavanaugh hearing, soon to be the impeachment verdict... all trash. The GOP gets away with it because they have no sense of shame and/or think it is okay because the ends justify the means, even if the ends bury our country.

A common mistake you all make is just laughing at a falsehood, like you assume everyone "gets" your inside joke. Guess what? NO ONE gets it. Not one person that matters.

The only people that matter in regard to getting an inside joke are the insiders. That's why it's called an "inside" joke.

Don't forget, we didn't lose the election, we lost the Presidency and that due entirely to a statistical anomaly that can't ever be replicated and was predicated exclusively on a combination of factors that no longer exist. Which is precisely why Trump felt the immediate and urgent need to force other countries to counterfeit fake evidence against Biden (and likely other candidates we don't know about it).

He knows he can't win without that massive fraud and has literally risked his presidency to get it. That's how desperate he is, which in turn demonstrates the fact that he knows--not just fears, but knows--that he can't win without doing something that big.

.. and your "insiders" are people that would never vote for Trump no matter what... so you're just talking to yourself when you make an inside joke... and the "point" you think you cleverly scored... you didn't... exactly because of what you admit.. that only insiders are being communicated with. fucking obviously.

Thank you for proving my point. "don't forget"... if forgetting that is anywhere in the realm of possibility, you fail. Not one single person that had voted for Trump or might vote for trump remembers that. What they remember is how Trump was treated so unfairly about his record-breaking crowd size. not that he LOST the democratic election by millions of votes (FOR FUCKS SAKE).
Which is precisely why Trump felt the immediate and urgent need to force other countries to counterfeit fake evidence against Biden (and likely other candidates we don't know about it).
No, it is because he isn't as much of a moron as the smartest democrat that is happy to stop at "what might, in a perfect world's textbook example, be just almost enough to get the job done". You see.. if Trump has a way to make his odds of re-election go from 99.9 to 99.900001.. he's all in. Why FOR FUCKS SAKE are dems so clueless as to the value of 0.0001.. you do understand that is better than 0, right? RIGHT?
He knows he can't win without that massive fraud and has literally risked his presidency to get it. That's how desperate he is, which in turn demonstrates the fact that he knows--not just fears, but knows--that he can't win without doing something that big.

Leaders take risks. He may be a shit leader, but that is what they do.. take risks.

Leaders take risks. He may be a shit leader, but that is what they do.. take risks.
Trump has rarely been held accountable for his actions over the period of his entire life... and after the Barr fuck show on the Mueller Report, it pretty much made Trump feel invulnerable to anything (other than maybe Putin). He doesn't take risks, because risks entail potential downsides. When a pathological sociopath gets away with everything, they'll do whatever they damn well please.

And his most successful real estate deals are where he loans (rents) his name to an enterprise, writing the contract such that they owe him money whether the business succeeds or fails. So he's taking little to no risk.

Still a witch hunt. Everyone is focusing on the quid pro quo and claim that Trump was wrong because it was a favor for himself. It was not. In the transcript Trump clearly said, "Can you do US a favor?" He didn't say, "do ME a favor." He said "us."

This is why the conservatives are laughing at the witch hunt. A favor for the country is fine.

Except his campaign would have benefited. So itwas felony.
