Pelosi: Impeachment Is Moving Forward

Slightly off topic: This three minute blurb is entertaining. It's disappointing that not a single politician who was involved in the Clinton impeachment will ever be called to account for their shift in attitudes now.

Some turds may require 10 or 15 articles of impeachment to be completely flushed.

That is so typical of politicians, isn't it? At least in my memory that seems to be the case. Will we ever learn?

Still wondering if the House is allowed to vote and pass articles of impeachment without having to send their "indictment" to the Senate for trial. If so, that's what they should do. Then continue to call witnesses and add other articles of impeachment as evidence warrants. Hold onto it all until election time...
WHY GIVE CHEATO A FORUM?

Why do you keep coming back to this ridiculous idea?

He won't say anything, except through the usual channels.

Let his boyz in the Senate own his acquittal, if that's what it comes to.

OK, but not THIS week fer chrissakes. That's what got me thinking about it - the week after that isn't much better etc.. The best time would be right after the election.

Why do you keep coming back to this ridiculous idea?

Because I don't want Trump to be re-elected, I have no doubt that there is a lot more evidence to gather, and this matter should not be "resolved" in anyone's mind on election day 2020 unless he's already gone. No action by Congress is going to effect Trump's ability or inclination to cheat in the upcoming elections, so making a feel-good point for themselves right now is not going to advance the Dems' stated purpose come November.

Oh- and I am really wondering if it would be allowed, just as a technical point.

I'm not sure you answered my original question.

Is it, or is it not wrong
to extort a foreign nation for personal political gain?

If it is wrong, and if the Bidens are "guilty" of doing it, then President Trump is "guilty" of doing it too, which justifies the impeachment.

If it is not wrong, then the Bidens are not "guilty" of doing it, so there's no reason for WhatAbout-ism.

Also, if it is not wrong, then why are so many Republicans acting as if it is wrong?

It's wrong to coerce another nation for political reasons which Trump has been charged with, with very little evidence. It's also wrong to reject the will of the people in a legitimate democratic election as the Democratic party is doing! If the Dems have proof positive that that's what Trumpet did, then bring it on!

So you haven't been paying attention then. Let's see if I can spell it out for you.

I'll do the "It's also wrong to reject the will of the people in a legitimate democratic election as the Democratic party is doing" first because that is the most asinine and idiotic. Firstly, winning an election doesn't give you complete immunity to do whatever the fuck you want. I'm surprised that even has to be said. Secondly, Trump can't be impeached unless he is the fucking President, which means of course the Democrats recognize the results of the 2016 election. Trump's actions after the election are the grounds for impeachment. Your argument makes as much sense as "You can't fire me, you gave me the job two years ago! What I've done since is irrelevant!"

Now, as to lack of evidence. Where the fuck have you been? Let's start off with the doctored transcript where Trump is quoted say "I would like for you to do us a favour, though". Not incriminating in and of itself, but worrying. This is compounded by the fact Trump withheld aid to Ukraine, which is an overreach of his executive powers. That's impeachable offense number one.

Would you like some more examples? For instance using his personal lawyer to act in a de facto foreign policy official, the Ambassador to the UN and the Ambassador to Ukraine both testifying under oath that Trump specifically asked a foreign power to aid his election campaign, his Secretary of State say ON FUCKING CAMERA that this administration "does this kind of thing all the time", a decorated intelligence colonel testifying that this is exactly what happened and the fact the aid wasn't released until a whistleblower informed Congress about all of this.

And that's not including all the times Trump has profited from being President, a clear violation of the emoluments clause. No evidence indeed, what the fuck is wrong with you?

The facts also are that you and others here are Trumpet haters. Were he to discover a cure for all cancers, people like you would find something to criticise him for!

What a compelling argument.
Angelo: Trump did nothing wrong!
Reality: Here is what he did that was wrong
Angelo: There is no evidence!
Reality: Here are transcripts and sworn testimonies, including one from a guy who donated a million dollars to Trump in 2016. We'll be getting phone records shortly.
Angelo: You just hate Trump!
Reality: No shit Sherlock. The reason why we hate him is because he does shit like this. If he wasn't such a vile corrupt cunt, people would despise him less.

What an odd, odd accusation.
I hate Trump as a draft-dodging coward who insults and belittles veterans. If he were to discover a cure for cancer, if he were to gain the ability to lay on hands and directly cure cancer by touch, i'd still hate him as a draft-dodging coward who insults and belittles veterans. Is there something about cancer, or the curing of cancer, that makes it okay to pay a doctor to lie about your draft status? Would he have been unable to complete his saintly ascension if he'd joined the National Guard and been a supply depot officer for a couple of years?
Was all that money he embezzled from the veteran charity spent on researching cancer cures? Would we be facing a death of medical hopes for cancer patients without his efforts to channel charitable donations into his pocket?

Seriously, if we could make some sort of deal with a healing god, that we get a cure for all forms of cancer if we stop calling Bonespurs a racist, misogynistic, self-centered coward... Well, I'd be willing to try.
Maybe we could meet in the middle? We all give up 'cunt' and get a cure for breast cancer?

The Bidens are guilty of the very same things. Why aren't you jumping up and down about them? Oh, that's right. They're allowed to because they're Democrats!

Rethinking about this...

First you said that President Trump has "done nothing wrong."

Then you said that the Bidens are "guilty of the very same things."

I don't understand how the Bidens can be "guilty" for doing the same thing that President Trump did, which was "nothing wrong."

Either they are all guilty, or they have all done nothing wrong. Care to comment?

The same thing as " bullying or trying to influence."
You spelled "ABUSE OF POWER" incorrectly.

What an odd, odd accusation.
Yeah. It is a funny hypothetical... 'If Trump cured cancer...'

Trump can't cure cancer, won't cure cancer. So we are simply left with who Trump actually is as a person. And there is nothing to like about him. The people that do like him, like him because he is an alpha bully.

Lots of fireworks in the hearing this morning.

You misspelled "Republican clowns shouting".

They are now asking for a rollcall vote on if they are recessing for lunch. What a bunch of obstructionist douchebag traitors.
We are just wasting our time until the GOP can call witnesses like some IT guy that worked on Hillary Clinton's private server. We simply won't know the truth until then.

Today in... the GOP have absolutely no case...
