And there is SO much material from which a Trump opponent can weave sarcastic, mocking truthiness. Even at his "best", Cheato has to confabulate. His opponent can tell a true, detailed and damning story about him on pretty much any subject that comes up, based on his actual performance record. And they can do that in the most facetious, rude way without fear of reprisal for their tone. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go against a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest - no Democrat nominee would ever pass it up.

The democratic candidate can also keeps hammering home how little Trump understands of his own policies by keep pointing to the fact that Trump didn't give any answer proving he doesn't know about the subject. He can outright say that Trump just bullshitted his way thru an answer, then giving a detailed answer himself. And if Trump interjects something, he can try to bait Trump into going into more detail. Which he cannot of course. "Trump is trying to get rid of pre-existing conditions, not protect it", let Trump deny that, then follow up with "The GOP is suing to remove the protections. Why does Trump not know this?" Then ask why GOP is suing to remove the protections. Then watch Trump probably say something that they need to sue it to replace it with something better...on which you can respond "but you can't even give one detail of the something better". Then Trump will probably be saved by the bell or something. But you can repeat this for every single subject basically.

I think there may be one debate, and he gets talked out of any more, and blames his bad performance--when he's not denying that it was bad--on his opponent, the fake news, and everyone but himself.

The alternative to fact checking is to let lying liars get away with lying, so I guess it is par for the course for conservatives to disdain the practice.

I expect he will publicly deem debates to be beneath him, because "everybody knows that ____________ is a lying commie and debates are rigged blah blah blah" and therefore decline to participate, setting a new shining example for incumbent presidents, to the cheers of his 22% base.

Sanders would crush Trump.

Trump will have zero problem calling out Biden's mental decline. Trump will be called worthy of condemnation but it will WORK!

However, the real goal of the Dems now is to make sure Sanders is not the Nominee. If Biden is 25th Amendmented (The DNC version, not the real one) Sanders will still be fucked out of the Nom and some decent debater will take Biden's place to trounce Trump.
