That said I do think that most Americans think that QAnnon is a joke and would have had a hard time accepting to be ruled by them. But then again it was the same situation in Germany when Hitler took power, or in Italy when Mussolini took power. Mussolini's seizure of power is quite similar to the events on capitol hill. Most Italians ignored the fascists and thought they were nothing but deluded conspiracy theory lunatics.
There are a lot of factions, though, not just the Qarens. There's also the Oathkeepers, Three Percenters, Proud Boys, various state militia conservolibertarian groups in the mid-west, north-west, and south-west, and then neo-confederate and outright racist groups from the south, and
80% of Trump supporters believe the election was stolen by Biden. There are a lot of individual Republicans, like veterans, police, or politicians who think it's part of their oath to the constitution to protect against domestic threats and they are told that is the Democrats, i.e. Communist Socialists! Immediately after the insurrection, there was a poll that found
45% of Republicans considered the riots to be justified, but now that their media is telling them it was Antifa, many of them are now not in favor of the insurrection. Obviously, they can quickly change their mind to become violent complicit, though, based on what they are told to think. It's hard to make a direct analogy to Hitler because of all the different factions, all of them together are maybe like the Nazis, and the Qarens are like the secret subset cabal of occultists who were in the Nazi Party.
