WTF was that all about ? I watched some snippets of the interview while channel hopping just for giggles. It's baffling why anyone would want to talk to either of these entitled empty headed clowns. In reading some of the press it seems that they came across as complete fools and liars to boot. Piers Morgan, a UK "journalist/reporter/tv host" was forced to resign after refusing to apologize for saying he didn't believe a word of Meghan's claims. What a spectacle, sitting there in the California sunshine, Meghan wearing a $4k dress and $4k ear rings whining how much they suffered in the UK!! LOL !

I look forward to the day Trumptards finally get it into their thick fucking skulls that free speech is not the same as blanket immunity from consequences. No government is stifling Morgan's right to speech and no one pointed a gun to his head forcing him to resign. It's amazing how people think the guy who made millions from having a career of crawling up the rectum of Rupert Murdoch until the canary dies is somehow a victim. Yeah, the guy in 20,000 pound suits is really suffering.

Fucking spare me. Good riddance, cunt. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out. May you be as irrelevant as Bill O'Reilly this time next month.

Jesus fuck, who would take Pier's side as the victim, here?

People that value free speech and a free press perhaps ?
I value both. Served to protect both.

Both are limits placed on what the American Government can do people in the US. Doesn't apply in any way, here.

Piers was not forced to quit for having or expressing an opinion about Meghan. Certainly not by the govt.

A coworker responded to his opinion, and Piers was unwilling to sit there when it happened. Stormed off the set in the middle of the broadcast, and quit the show.

Thanks for that.

Well we don’t know for sure what was said behind closed doors that would prompt Piers to resign. But the gist is that Meghan complained to the broadcaster about Piers not believing her and demanded that Piers apologize. And it seems the broadcasting company agreed. Now you may not have a problem with that but I do. I think the broadcasting company should have stood by their man.

I don’t think this incident played a part. I believe it was a complaint from Meghan directly to the broadcasting company director.

Piers is an obnoxious jackass but that’s why he’s on the show. He has expressed some obnoxious views before but how come this one is a bridge too far ?

Cite? I really doubt Meghan gave a fuck what Piers said, he's been talking nonstop shit about her since she stopped talking to him.

ummmmmm, you're going to need to show that they did not. That Meghan said word one about Piers.
I would guess that the network told him he had to apologize, on air, to his co hosts on the morning show. And he chose to resign instead.
Exercising his free speech...
But that's speculation.

Also, whether the network demanded an apology is their free speech being exercised.

well, this was the incident where we saw him storm off in a snit, never to return. So it did happen.
Feel free to show Meghan's involvement.......?

that question assumes he was fired, not quit.
You have speculated this happened, but not shown it to be true.

Occam's razor, we do not need Meghan's involvement to explain anything. He mouthed off, a coworker finally had enough and criticized him on air, the cunt had a snit.

Then, maybe the network demanded an apology and Piers refused?
Or, PIERS demanded an apology, 'or i'll quit!'and the network 'stood by' the other host?
Or Piers felt that he was no longer free to be a cunt on air and quit?

Considering the only person who felt regret over Morgan leaving is Andrew Neil, I think it's fair to say this was a long time coming. Speculation on my part of course, but the reaction from pretty much every media personality on ITV and the BBC seems to corroborate my theory. I'd say it's a better than 50/50 chance we'll see Piers Morgan on a PragerU video moaning about the dangers of "cancel culture" in a month or two. I have every confidence it will be accurate and done in good faith, like every other PragerU clip.

That is not the "gist". That is your nonsense that ignores most of the relevant facts. His coworker finally got tired of his years long unhinged hateful public obsession with Markle rooted in personal spite, and called him out for it. Piers, being the snowflake he is, couldn't take the heat, stormed off and never returned to the show. The network got many complaints not merely about him not believing Markle but in support of what his cohost said and against Morgan's childish reaction.

The viewers know Morgan's history of obsession the co-worker was referring to, and which right-wing outlets are deliberately ignoring. 5 years ago Morgan followed Markle on Twitter and they had formed a budding friendship. He seemed basically in love with her, then she left one of their meetings to attend a party where she met Harry, and then basically cut him off personally after that.

In multiple public comments in 2016 he call her "my friend", "very elegant and impossibly glamorous”, “I really, really liked her,...I found her to be a very smart, focused, thoughtful, feisty and confident woman" and he talked about her multiracial heritage being an asset to the royal family.

A year later he was revealing his resentment telling Harry "your romance did destroy my beautiful friendship with the amazing Meghan Markle", and repeatedly harps on being cut off in numerous columns, tweets, and interviews. Then he goes out of his way to contact her father and interview him to paint a picture of how Markle "coldly" cut her father out of her life too, and on and on and on like that, with his vitriol getting more intense over time.

Odds are that the ever arrogant entitled Morgan demanded the coworker be fired or he'd resign.

A coworker responded to his opinion, and Piers was unwilling to sit there when it happened. Stormed off the set in the middle of the broadcast, and quit the show.

To pretend that incident (and the factual accuracy of his coworkers critique) was not directly causal to his resignation is just delusional denying of facts that don't fit your dogmatic narrative.

Im not pretending anything. I really didn’t look into it at all (certainly not as much as you) because I’m not very interested in it. I skimmed a few headlines, the Windsors and Morgan are insufferable twats and if I never heard about any of them again that would be fine. My puzzlement is really about why anyone would be interested in what the Windsors have to say. And I’m a bit pissed off that Spotify and Netflix, two services I subscribe to, have lobbed gobs of money at these two.

So, you started a thread and invented bullshit "facts" and ignored most of the actual facts, b/c you are "not very interested". Got it. We know you are never interested in actual facts or reasonable analysis, but what you clearly are interested in is inventing b.s examples of your imaginary threats to the "free speech" of conservatives.

Yup pretty much it in a nutshell.

So, that's a "Nope." on citing any actual reason to think Meghan had fuck-all to do with Piers being off the sir at this moment.

Affirmative. I’m not sufficiently interested. I’ll take you guys’ word for it.

Well it seems the “Royal” couple have indeed made two formal complaints about Morgan. One complaint directly to the broadcasting company ITV and one to Ofcom, the regulator of broadcasting in the UK. How precious they must be.
