Covid-19 miscellany

Interesting, it is available in Russia but not in Argentina.

Do you think that that depends on the uploader, or some other reason?
It would be odd that they specifically wanted to make it available in Russia and not in Argentina. Maybe it's the default for youtube?

I would guess there's some licensing issue with making it available in Argentina--some local affiliate has the rights to distribute it there. When you see commercial stuff blocked in certain countries for no obvious reason your first suspect should be licenses.

Okay, so it's commercial stuff. Thanks for the info; I did not know that because, well, it's blocked!

Why are hospitals using a "first-come, first-served" process here.

Well, you cannot refuse to provide treatment if you have the resources available, it's unethical.
And you cannot turf someone out of a bed once you start treatment, unless they walk out or die.
So, first come, have to serve.
Unless they write up some Do Not Resuscitate papers that have "DO NOT VACCINATE" in big letters, top and bottom, and get the covidiots to sign them on the way in....

I had heard that some of the hospital systems have been so overloaded they’ve entered a triage regime in which they are allowed to choose treatments based on likelihood of survival. That would override the first come first serve approach. I forgot the name for this.

. They can initially treat them in the garage and reserve ICU beds for more treatable conditions (Hey! It's like Jesus! You're in the manger!), but i don't think they can pull a ventilator out once they've started treatments, not to clear an icu bed before that patient actually kicks it.

OK, makes sense.

Compared to non drunk drivers, quite low I’d wager.

You failed to answer the question and you really think a drunk driver is less likely to kill or injure someone than a sober driver? How often is it ok for a drunk driver to kill or injure someone?

That’s an entirely different but equally unrelated question.

How frequently do drunk drivers kill or injure others?

How long is a piece of string? What are you driving at (see what I did there?) with these daft questions?

Do you really not get it or are you just pretending? And you really really don't want to answer the question "how many times is it ok for a drunk driver to fill or injure someone" do you? Because if you admit that even once is not ok you lose. In fact, you have lost.

Let’s get back to the point.

How many kids who became infected then infected someone else?

None of this has anything to do with driving while impaired.

Let’s get back to the point.

And the point was that since it is only a few hundred kids who have died so far from covid that it doesn’t make much sense to take simple methods to prevent the spread of the disease, yes?

The point is that there's a vast and unbridgeable gulf between "what TSwizzle would wager" and "what is actually real", but he would rather divert attention to the fine details of his unsupported assertions than address their abject lack of support.

In short, TSwizzle's deliberately misinformed opinions are utterly valueless, and we shouldn't waste any time on them.

What are you going on about? Go back to the beginning. Trausti asked how many kids died from the rona, I provided information on that, CDC says < 500. Then you asked me; "How many kids who became infected then infected someone else? " and I responded "Quite low I'd wager" (turns out this is correct). And bizarrely you start going on about a totally unrelated subject, drunk drivers and then proceed to try to put words in my mouth. Clearly there is no discussion to be had on the actual subject. So I will leave it at that.

I think you should check on which member is posting what, because you are putting words in *my* mouth when attributing other people's posts to me.

Going around unvaccinated is like driving drunk. It's a perfectly good analogy. Being unvaccinated and drunk driving both pose a significant risk to other people. This has been pointed out likely dozens of time. But you continue to ignore that issue.

You've asserted, without evidence, that kids with Covid don't spread it to others very much. So applying the same analogy, I've asked you how many times it's OK to injure of kill another person while drunk driving. You have not answered the question and I believe I know why.
