I think I like these aliens. Not only do they love their pets and take them on family outings, they have a culture that allows pets in their amusement parks.*

Oh I see. That's not great. But the media framing the worker shortage problem as a matter of competition and need to pay more and not a problem of "they don't want to work bc they're lazy, spoiled, nanny state libturds!" is a good thing for the entitled class to hear.
$15 an hour is only suitable for high school after school jobs. It's simply exploitation for anyone who needs to support oneself especially if kids are involved. And it has always blown my mind that there are full time jobs that don't provide paid sick time too. Or any of the things that as a knowledge worker, I have forever taken for granted.
I mentioned in a different thread that my daughter's boyfriend had Covid but was threatened with being fired if he didn't come in to work while sick! He is in the shipping department of an electronic components manufacturer in New Hampshire. WTF?
