The kid is a jackass. He's being accused of beating a woman. Don't know if true or not. But I've seen several pictures of him close to other people wearing masks, while he dosn't. Sorry but if you have such little regard for other people around you that you refuse to wear a mask: you're a giant Jackass.

That may be true. But I'm talking about whether the homicide was justified or not, and him being a jackass doesn't doesn't really affect that. And given the nature of this incident, the truth is important. The truth is always important.

Also, I look forward to denouncing all the jackasses demonstrating in large groups in US cities right now without face masks.

But please let me rephrase in order to be more clear: IMO If you are around other people who care about you by wearing a mask, but refuse to wear a mask thereby spreading your germs to your friends: YOU ARE A JACKASS. I don't know much about the Rittenhouse case. I'm studying up on it now. More facts are coming. But judging from the pictures that I see, he clearly doesn't care about spreading his germs around. He doesn't care about the safety of others around him. He carries an illegal AK-47 to a demonstration, telling me that he's trying to bully someone. Yea, it appears to me that he's an asshole who could have committed murder. But we'll see.

It wasn't an AK-47, it was an AR-15 and it wasn't illegal, to be precise, although, he may not have been legally carrying it (still remains to be seen), but he probably legally owned it.

I myself might call him an asshole (with allowances for his young age) and possibly his mother if it's true she gave him a lift (I think you guys say ride, which is arguably the better term) to the protests with an illegal AK-47, and further than that, I might say there were other assholes too, quite possibly Rosenbaum (the first guy Rittenhouse shot after Rosenbaum jumped on him from behind and who had previously I think taunted Rittenhouse with 'shoot me nigger') and the other guy who fired shots in the air while apparently also chasing Rittenhouse.

Whether Rittenhouse committed murder or not is up for legal grabs, but it does seem he might have a decent case for self-defence. That said, carrying and shooting someone dead with an illegal weapon should surely lead to some sort of sanction, I would think.

The gun is not illegal, and was probably purchased legally in Illinois or Wisconsin. Wisconsin allows open-carry of rifles, but it is a misdemeanor if you are under 18. Although, apparently, there is some exception for rifles. In any case, it would be a misdemeanor if he was carrying illegally.

He's exactly the type of person who should not be in a position of authority or a policeman. Probably the only good thing about this is that he's been exposed, and he'll probably never achieve his lifelong goal of being a police officer.

Say a guy goes to a bar, and on opening the door sees there is a massive bar fight going on. If he chooses to go in to 'defend the bar' or whatever reason, that guy can't claim self defense as he is knowingly going into a violent situation which any reasonable person would expect to likely end up fighting someone. There were no massive 'riots' going on in that city, but this kid believed there were, grabbed a gun and crossed state lines to join in what he believed was a dangerous, violent situation specifically to be able to confront the 'rioters'.

From the footage (and again this is my opinion) it looks like after someone fired a pistol he was on hi alert and the first guy who got shot gave him reason to defend himself. He intended to stick around (since he did not run right away) but after hearing some people yelling (i forgot what they yelled exactly) he thought that he was still in danger. So he fled towards the police at which point people gave chase. Whether those folks had the right reasons or not to give chase is not something Kyle at that moment could reasonably determine. Then the second shootings unfolded where I find it reasonable for him to believe that those were repeats (likeness in nature) of the initial threat.

I don't know whether or not he crossed state lines or if someone gave him the gun in Wisconsin but I presume whatever laws were broken all who broke them should be held accounted.
