How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

On the Crocus City Hall attack...

The Russian leader himself publicly dismissed U.S. warnings just three days before the March 22 attack, calling them “outright blackmail” and attempts to “intimidate and destabilize our society.”

It's an unshareable WaPo story so I'll not bother to link it.

But wait. There's more.

Exclusive: Iran alerted Russia to security threat before Moscow attack

DUBAI, April 1 (Reuters) - Iran tipped off Russia about the possibility of a major "terrorist operation" on its soil ahead of the concert hall massacre near Moscow last month, three sources familiar with the matter said.
In the deadliest attack inside Russia in 20 years, gunmen opened fire with automatic weapons at concertgoers on March 22 at the Crocus City Hall, killing at least 144 people in violence claimed by the Islamic State militant group.

The United States had also warned Russia in advance of a likely militant Islamist attack but Moscow, deeply distrustful of Washington's intentions, played down that intelligence.
It is harder, however, for Russia to dismiss intelligence from diplomatic ally Iran on the attack, which has also raised questions over the effectiveness of Russian security services. Moscow and Tehran, both under Western sanctions, have deepened military and other cooperation during the two-year Ukraine war.

The terrorists that allegedly pulled off the attack were from Tajikistan. FYI, Tajik is an Indo-European language related to Farsi, the major language in Iran. 90% of Tajik Muslims are reported to be Hanafi Muslims. Only a tiny percent (3-4%) are Shia Muslims. ISIS-K are Sunni Muslims. Russia is more aligned with Shia than Sunni causes. For example, Syria is run by a minority Shia tribe that dominates the majority Sunni population. So, there is some reason to see why ISIS-K might hold a grudge against Russia.

I still think Putin allowed it to happen.

Barbos should be worried that Ukraine can make a drone that small that can fly 1100km.

That looked like a fairly large drone to me. It was an attack on their oil refinery, but I don't think it caused serious damage. I suspect it was launched from inside of Russia--much closer to the target location.

Looks like a small plane. Maybe it’s one of those converted old Cessna 150 kind of rigs?

I believe those are converted planes.

Yup, it was a small plane.

Donald Trump’s claim that he could end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours apparently involves pushing the country to surrender Crimea and the Donbas border region to Russia, sources familiar with the plan told The Washington Post in Sunday’s edition.

Trump has privately asserted that Russia and Ukraine “want to save face, they want a way out” and that some Ukrainians “would be OK” with belonging to Russia, a person who spoke directly with Trump told the Post.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has rejected the possibility of turning over land. Russia’s unlawful invasion of Ukraine has entered its third year, with more than 500,000 people killed or seriously injured, according to intelligence estimates.
Fuck that shit.

Meanwhile, US defence minister Lloyd Austin during US Senate hearing admitted that if he was a russian he would view NATO as a threat :D . So much for NATO is not threatening anybody.

Paranoia about NATO does not mean NATO is actually threatening any country. It means some people need to pop the bubble of delusion that imprisons their mind.

LOL, that's unexpected.
Never heard that song, had to google it. Pretty crappy rap song. But young people like crap like that.
It has words in it like "America is shit"

Of course! Nato is going to invade Russia. Nato hasn't invaded anyone. But you sure can't bully countries that are in nato. Nato is a threat to your imperialism. If it weren't for Nato, there would be Russian storm troopers all over Eastern Europe right now.

Iraq/Afghanistan/Cuba/Syria/China beg to differ.
But that's not really a point here. The point here is, Lloyd Austin disagrees with you and agrees with russians.
And don't forget Stoltenberg himself (yes that idiot) who admitted the same too.

Nato didn't invade Cuba, Syria or China. I don't believe that Nato was part of the US Iraq invasion. Yes, Nato was involved in the operations in Afghanistan. Al-quada attacked the US. If you attack one Nato country, all will come to it's defense if needed.
