Trump Spends Easter Morning on a Social Media Bender
Donald Trump was very busy on Easter morning on frantic social media bender — posting and re-posting grievances to his Truth Social account dozens and dozens of times.

Before 12 noon ET, the former president had populated his account with 43 additional “Truths” and “Re-Truths.”

The re-posts almost all came from Conservative media outlets like the Washington Times, Newsmax, Breitbart, and more. They included stories about the White House banning religious-themed Easter egg designs, the White House honoring Transgender Day of Visibility on the same day as Easter, and one about Judge Juan Merchan’s daughter, whom he named and criticized on Truth Social this week.
There he goes again, that big big baby.
You mean he was tweeting from his pew? At his church?
Elon: "It's not called tweeting! It's...Xing? X-ing? Listen, we haven't figured out what to call it yet, but goddammit I spent 43 billion on this and it's called X because I said so! I'm a billionaire!"

(Um, Mr. Musk, he's not on your platform. He's on his own little site. He's "Truthing" or whatever.)

Elon: "Well, shit. How's the rocket thing going? The last one blew up and crashed? Shit. Were the Jews involved?"

Biden on Twitter yesterday:

“Donald, my offer to play golf still stands.

I’ll let you take three strokes off your game if you carry your own bag.”
Arrest Biden! Attempting to kill a presidential candidate by means of a heart attack.

Trump’s Weird “USA Bible” Scam Takes a Dark, Unsettling Turn | The New Republic
Donald Trump’s announcement that he is now peddling something called the “God Bless the USA Bible” drew outrage from some religious figures, but one group that’s been conspicuously quiet about it lately is evangelical leaders. Why? Perhaps because Trump has begun making subtle promises to them that we absolutely must not ignore.
Has a podcast, but I didn't have the patience to listen to it.

The Church of Trump: How He’s Infusing Christianity Into His Movement - The New York Times - "Ending many of his rallies with a churchlike ritual and casting his prosecutions as persecution, the former president is demanding — and receiving — new levels of devotion from Republicans."
Long known for his improvised and volatile stage performances, former President Donald J. Trump now tends to finish his rallies on a solemn note.

Soft, reflective music fills the venue as a hush falls over the crowd. Mr. Trump’s tone turns reverent and somber, prompting some supporters to bow their heads or close their eyes. Others raise open palms in the air or murmur as if in prayer.

In this moment, Mr. Trump’s audience is his congregation, and the former president their pastor as he delivers a roughly 15-minute finale that evokes an evangelical altar call, the emotional tradition that concludes some Christian services in which attendees come forward to commit to their savior.

“The great silent majority is rising like never before and under our leadership,” he recites from a teleprompter in a typical version of the script. “We will pray to God for our strength and for our liberty. We will pray for God and we will pray with God. We are one movement, one people, one family and one glorious nation under God.”

However, he has been careful to avoid seeming too much like some messiah.
“This country has a savior, and it’s not me — that’s someone much higher up than me,” Mr. Trump said in 2021 from the pulpit at First Baptist Church in Dallas, whose congregation exceeds 14,000 people.
Jesus Christ, of course.
Last year, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican and a close Trump ally, said both the former president and Jesus had been arrested by “radical, corrupt governments.” On Saturday, Mr. Trump shared an article on social media with the headline “The Crucifixion of Donald Trump.”
But that is not very common.
Mr. Trump won an overwhelming majority of evangelical voters in his first two presidential races, but few — even among his rally crowds — explicitly compare him to Jesus.

Instead, the Trumpian flock is more likely to describe him as a modern version of Old Testament heroes like Cyrus or David, morally flawed figures handpicked by God to lead profound missions aimed at achieving overdue justice or resisting existential evil.
Even so,
“They’ve crucified him worse than Jesus,” said Andriana Howard, 67, who works as a restaurant food runner in Conway, S.C.

Trump’s gag order in hush money case expanded to include judge’s family | The Hill
A New York judge expanded former President Trump’s gag order on Monday to limit his recent barrage of attacks against the judge’s daughter.

Justice Juan Merchan’s five-page ruling excoriated Trump over his series of Truth Social posts attacking the judge’s daughter since the former president was placed under a gag order last week.

... this pattern of attacking family members of presiding jurists and attorneys assigned to his cases serves no legitimate purpose. It merely injects fear in those assigned or called to participate in the proceedings, that not only they, but their family members as well, are ‘fair game’ for Defendant’s vitriol.

Trump gets some Democratic recognition.

......
WASHINGTON — Three Democratic congressmen unveiled legislation Friday to rename a federal prison in Miami after former President Donald Trump.

The bill — offered by Reps. Gerry Connolly, of Virginia; Jared Moskowitz, of Florida; and John Garamendi, of California — comes in response to a measure introduced by a group of House Republicans to rename Washington Dulles International Airport after Trump.

The Democrats' bill would rename the Miami Federal Correctional Institution in Florida the "Donald J. Trump Federal Correctional Institution."

That's nothing. Apparently we have a sign from god:

...

Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On

A map of the impact puts the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster at the epicenter of the quake. It is unclear if the club sustained any damages at this time. Newsweek reached out to Trump National via inquiry form for comment.

Yes, friends, the lord hath spoken, because the epicenter of the earthquake in New Jersey was Trump's Bedminster Golf Club. Praise Jesus!

Ranking Trump's Terrible Lawyers - YouTube - Sep 28, 2023 - LegalEagle
Devin Stone of Legal Eagle (Jurist Bird?)

Starting out with a Fox News commentator saying that politics is lawyers vs. lawyers, then complaining that his side doesn't seem to have the best lawyers. Donald Trump employs a sizable army of lawyers, enough so that he spends $21 million on them in a recent year. But as DS says, he is likely the worst of any prominent client, stiffing his lawyers, and being erratic and ignoring his lawyers' instructions. So he has had a hard time getting business from major law firms.

He also likes to attack judges, prosecutors, jurors, witnesses, civil servants, even his own lawyers on social media. Lawyers demand sizable sums of money up front to work for him, just like building contractors.

DS then assembled a display of DT's more prominent lawyers, using Tier List Maker for Everything - TierMaker

  • S: (none)
  • A: Todd Blanche, Susan Necheles, Chris Kise, Steve Sadow -- none of them talks to the media very much, something that DS thinks shows their seriousness.
  • B: John Lauro, Joseph Tacopina -- the two talk to the media, especially JL, claiming such things as how a "technical" violation of the US Constitution is not worthy of a criminal prosecution.
  • C: James Trusty, John Rowley, Tim Parlatore, Evan Corcoran, Jesse Binnall -- such things as claiming that saying "the big lie" is defamation.
  • D, E: (none)
  • F: Alina Habba, Christina Bobb, Lindsay Halligan, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis, John Eastman, Ken Chesebro, Jeff Clark, Boris Epshteyn -- AH is willing to say just about anything in defense of DT, and she filed some lawsuits that were quickly thrown out.
  • Below F: Alan Dershowitz, the celebrity lawyer and Trumpie.

How many of these are facing disbarment? Too bad about poor Rudy. Turned into a top hero (by just being in the "right" place at the right time); but that and free pillows from Mike (his fellow cretin) wasn't enough for him. He turned to treason just to make a few more dimes.

Raise your hand if, like me, you wish Sacha Baron Cohen had let the cameras roll for another minute in his famous sting film.

  • Below F: Alan Dershowitz, the celebrity lawyer and Trumpie.

Dershowitz? The guy bitter that he attended Jeffrey Epstein's parties but all he got was the T-shirt and a massage by an elderly Russian lady?

It is interesting that right-wing Christian Nationalist Jay Sekulow has had very little in the way of being Trump's lawyer, especially when it comes to the Supreme Court. Sekulow is as close to a Clarence Darrow the right-wing Christian Nationalists have.

The whole Trump drama has it all. Lies, treachery, backstabbing, villainy, threats, evil, and stupidity.
Its like a real life Game Of Thrones but with less whores and no dragons.

Well we've got Stormy and Melania for whores and Giuliani for a dragon. Not too far off.

Too bad the idiot is only semi-literate. He could make a fortune writing tragic comedies.
