Harris will likely win

The latest "good news" election predictor I've run across, Race to the WH, gives Harris a 53.4% chance to win, with projected 274.9(?) Electoral Votes.

More good news? They give the Democrats a 69.7% chance to take the House. Very important when it comes to the whole ceremony on January 6h. Speaker Johnson might not be able to pull off his "one trick they don't tell you about" to tip the election, as he might just be Rep. Johnson on that day.

Senate? Not so good. Only a 37.8% chance to win the majority.

If you gave me 37.8% chance to hold the senate 12 months ago, I'd been happy. I think the transgender children surgery ads are taking a toll.

I am cautiously optimistic. I am hearing from moderate Republicans who are turned off from a slew of Trumpian like GOP candidates in my area, including Trump. I hope this is an indication that his schtick has played out with the center.

My *Medin-o-meter is not so in the red. There is much Harris signage and much less Trumpage than in elections past. Maybe the white folk are just ashamed to fly the felonious flag.

*My Medina Ohio political climate meter as gauged by me looking out the windshield.
I have reported the same thing in my bluish-purple neighborhood (lot of sign for the incumbent GOP House Rep, very few for Trump, and those only started appearing in the last week or two). Someone else mentioned the same phenomenon in eastern Kansas...

Barring something drastic happening, I think it will be a big win for Harris.
Yeah, and then trump will try to steal it.
No. No. No. He and his sycophants will just try to steal it back.  I think that ten million popular vote guestimate is about right. We really have to fix that electoral college baloney.

It is human nature to find fresh cause for optimism.

With the stuff I witness in Ohio from our Secretary of State's deceptive wording of issues to a state Supreme Court that flaunts its bias to a legislature with supermajority power that can effectively neuter the governor, I hope enough can set their political leanings aside, have seen the authoritarian writing on the wall and that it is not too late.

The good news with Issue One is that the text TLDR;. So the skull fucking they did with the language won't matter. I voted today and was surprised to see Trump / Vance third on the list and Harris / Walz second to last. I have no idea what the basis for that listing was. Seemed random, but equally so.

Women will not regress to tradwife, mouse wife, of the 50s and 60s. Vote Harris Walz.
It could easily happen. You know Afghanistan has passed a law banning women from speaking audibly? They can whisper or murmur in their homes, but if their voice is heard from the street they can be fined. No conversation in public at all. The world is in a very regressive mood right now, our election is one symptom of a disease that is carpeting the globe.

I think it’s the first time in history that there is a global coalition of despots.
Something has to give.

I hope you're right. If voters are not deceived on the wording of Issue 1, I'd expect it would pass handily.
The arrangement of candidates must be random. On my ballot of the six presidential candidates, Harris was first and Trump was fifth, just above some guy named Duncan.

I remember the last Anti-Gerrymandering ballot issue having a lot more advertising against it. I didn't see a lot of it this year. Don't know whether they feel that safe with the red-ness Ohio is gaining to not even care.

I wonder if the position is being randomly assigned when they print the ballots. That probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Or it was a Medina v Summit County thing.

Arnie Schwarzenegger has now endorsed our gal.
Gal?

Probably Arnie saw a kindred spirt in Kamala's S.O. Cheating on your wife with the hired help and getting them pregnant brings men together.
I'm not impressed that the Kindergarten Cop is standing up for reality.

But I don't care if he calls her gal or cunt or Madame.
Tom

There certainly was during World War II. It didn’t end well for the despots.

Well, we were all thinking it. But we're not supposed to compare Trump and Putin to Mousseline and Hitler* anymore, it's mean.
