So tRump is apparently looking to start a war. I mean what better way to boost your sagging poll numbers?

He has sent the Navy down there to deal with the drug cartels. But he’s also called Maduro a drug lord. Now he’s sending an entire amphibious readiness group, an ARG, to joining other surface combatants right off the coast.

A good way to kill two birds with one stone. He can use the war to crack down on dissent and maybe even nullify or ”postpone” elections.

Maduro has vowed to fight back.

This could really happen.
 
Trump is really trying to rally his base. He must be worried about the midterms. Taking a page out Reagan’s playbook.
 
They took out a boat! That means no more drugs in the US. The thing that sucks is that they took out one boat and they use it as a PR piece to "scare" the cartels, instead of targeting lots of boats in a broad sweep and not saying anything, making the cartels wonder, 'Dude WTF?!'

He's got an entire ARG coming their way. A few thousand marines are going to invade the entirety of Venezuela?
 
While the bus driver's regime is horrible, starting a war against the Tehran regime would make more sense because of the still present danger of them developing nuclear weapons.
 
WAR on DRUGS.
This is just another "Squirrell". To distract us from all the other ways tRump is changing the system.
Supply and Demand.
If we really want to reduce the drug trade, work on the demand side.
But that's too hard and boring.
It's more fun to have the big bad Navy blow small boats up.

If you want to reduce the drug trade, there is already a successful pilot program to simply follow.

The USA had a massive problem with gangs, organised crime, and high levels of substance abuse (including a criminal drug use culture that pervaded much of society), around a single drug that they put vast resources into trying (and utterly failing) to eradicate.

Then they stopped banging their heads against a brick wall, and legalised, regulated and taxed alcohol sales. Crime plummeted, alcohol abuse rates fell, and the world notably failed to end.

There seems to be some effort (driven by state level action in defiance of federal government) to go the same way with marajiuana; It should, very obviously, be extended to ALL drugs.

Legalise, regulate, tax. Spend some of the tax revenue on assistance for addicts who want help to break their addiction, and on PSAs warning people of the dangers of both addiction and impairment.

It's not only both simple and self-funding; It's also known to be effective.

I was not aware that I even had a regime.
I did refuse to carry someone yesterday because he was rude to me; I am not sure that counts, even if I made him late for work.

Why is Epstein an issue? Ghislane Maxwell said that she had never seen Trump do anything inappropriate with the underage girls that Epstein stole from the Maralago massage parlor. Who else would know those kinds of details than a convicted sex trafficker??
