What are you watching on YouTube?

I might be the only person on this forum, who has the time and motivation to listen to these types of videos all the way through though.

What's also amazing is being able to watch and listen on YouTube, someone born in the 1850s talking about their life.

Third Hand Earthworks. A complete waste of time but still orders of magnitude better than bickering on the internet. Dude has a little Kubota with a brush mulching attachment and he clears land for folks. That's pretty much it. There is a little Kubota maintenance to spice it up.

and

Pedulla Studios. Outstanding furniture maker.

Sometimes I like to watch these camping videos. It's cheaper than actually going camping, and I don't have to deal with the bugs or anything.

Type One Talks.

How different foods affect blood sugar. In one video, he talks about twenty different vegetables.

Broccoli, for instance. He gives the carbs of broccoli, the fiber, the net carbs (and he explains why you subtract fiber from carbs to get net fiber), and the glycemic index. Then he graphs the affect on his personal blood sugar after he eats a small portion of broccoli.

Then he puts the vegetable into one of three bowls (categories), green, yellow, or red. Raw broccoli definitely goes in the green bowl, because it only barely increases his blood sugar. He can eat as much as he wants, and he doesn't need to take insulin.

He has a video on different kinds of bread, and one on different types of pasta. He talks about the (blood sugar) effect of cooking foods, and of re-cooling them.

I just fell into this last night, so I don't know what else he has.

If you're a blood-sugary type, or if you don't want to avoid becoming one, these videos are the best education I've run across.
