So, what's Batarti's politics, if any? His sister Tulsi "Rogue" Gabbard used to be a Democrat, and his father Mike Gabbard is a Democrat, but we know nothing of his leanings. In any case, he is not a politician.
So this case certainly does not seem to fit here.
Maybe its time for a new thread. We could call it, "Democrats seem to have a big embarrassing brother/son problem". We could add Hunter Biden, Roger Clinton and Billy Carter to the list, for starters.
Sure sure. Maybe we could have a thread about stupid things Republican legislators say about women’s bodies.
Or democrats who abuse women? Just to be even handed.
Or politicians who campaign on family values while on their third or more marriage? Or who have mistresses? Or who are married to or having affairs with people young enough to be their child or grandchild? Or Republicans who have sex with minors?
Or those that are abusive to their girls friends or partners (that would be a humongous list.)
The list of potential goal threads could go on and on and on…

I have no intention of creating a Democrat thread as I wrote. It was said in jest. You seem to be one of the few who could see my probably-too-subtle point that this whole thread and others of its kind are lame and misleading. The pedophile stories about Republicans are cherry picked. If/when a Democrat does some kiddie fiddling, you'd never see it posted here, as it doesn't fit the narrative. That is, assuming a Democrat pedo story would even show up in the biased news feeds of those who are looking for such stories. To see if Republicans truly do have a big pedo problem (in comparison to Democrats, for example), you'd have to do a rigorous statistical analysis of a large sample of pedo convictions by politicians. If the results lean heavily towards Republicans, then you would have a point. But that's not what's happening here. We have had other compilation threads about how evil police are (for example), without any context about how often the bad behavior happens compared to the exemplary, life saving actions that police do every day.
Oh, I'm certain that if a prominent Democrat is accused of pedophilia, it will certainly appear here. And it should probably do. We've had threads about Al Franken and Joe Biden and Bill Clinton, after all.
OTOH, IMO the Republicans are bringing all of this on themselves first of all for tolerating and promoting adults known to seek sex with minors (aka rape) as well as sex outside of marriage all the while touting themselves as having family values.
Truthfully, I don't really care about other people's sex lives so long as it is limited to consenting adults, both the consent and the adult part being imperative. I'd rather the displays not be public as well. Honestly I find other people's sex lives to be boring. I do care about hypocrisy and faux Christian values touting assholes who are in fact, sex pests and abusers and all sorts of bad things. Not that I believe Christians are supposed to be perfect but please: enough with the hypocrisy.
