Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the conservative activist and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, pressed lawmakers to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 victory not only in Arizona, as previously reported, but also in a second battleground state, Wisconsin, according to emails obtained under state public-records law.

The Washington Post reported this year that Ginni Thomas emailed 29 Arizona state lawmakers, some of them twice, in November and December 2020. She urged them to set aside Biden’s popular-vote victory and “choose” their own presidential electors, despite the fact that the responsibility for choosing electors rests with voters under Arizona state law.

The new emails show that Thomas also messaged two Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin: state Sen. Kathy Bernier, then chair of the Senate elections committee, and state Rep. Gary Tauchen. Bernier and Tauchen received the email at 10:47 a.m. on Nov. 9, virtually the same time the Arizona lawmakers received a verbatim copy of the message from Thomas. The Bernier email was obtained by The Post, and the Tauchen email was obtained by the watchdog group Documented and provided to The Post.

I meant the Trump MAGA drones are the minority of the minority party, yet hold considerable sway of the minority party. This isn't the first time a group of minority stature has attempted to seize overall power of a political entity or nation.

Meanwhile in Ohio (a state Trump won), local elections boards aren't able to discard the ballots from 2020.

Federal law requires local election officers to retain congressional and presidential election materials for 22 months after ballots are cast. Discarding the old records is routine for local boards of elections, which in many Ohio counties have limited space to warehouse documents and must make room for records from the 2022 midterm election.

However, before the Sept. 3 date when Ohio boards of election could start discarding 2020 presidential election records, they began to receive groups of identically worded public records requests from multiple email addresses that sought voluminous 2020 presidential election data. The requested materials include copies of all ballots, poll books, voting machine reports, and absentee ballot identification envelopes, among other records that would total thousands of documents. Election boards aren’t allowed to destroy records if requests for them are pending.

“The expense to the requester would be voluminous,” says Lane, who has asked the county’s legal counsel how to handle the requests. “They want a copy of all the ballots in 2020, used and unused, all notices and correspondences, all poll lists and poll records. Some of it, we don’t know what they are asking for.”

The point was the minority of people in a party have control over it. Or at least, the money it is helping to raise has greased the wheels with the powers that be in that party to let them continue their nonsense. But now it has infected the GOP everywhere in the nation, and this minority group's grasp on the GOP is growing... and while the money was great, the McConnells are beginning to lose their grasp on the reins.

TROY — Jason T. Schofield, the Republican Rensselaer County Board of Elections commissioner, was arrested outside his residence Tuesday morning by the FBI and charged with fraudulently obtaining and filing absentee ballots last year using the personal information of at least eight voters without their permission, according to an indictment unsealed in U.S. District Court.

The indictment handed up last week — and unsealed Tuesday during his arraignment — charges Schofield with 12 felony counts of unlawful possession and use of a means of identification.

Schofield was led into court in handcuffs just after 2 p.m. by three FBI agents, including two who have been pursuing the wide-ranging voter fraud investigation since last year. The 42-year-old entered a not guilty plea as a half-dozen of his supporters sat behind him in the courtroom. The proceeding concluded with U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Stewart releasing him on his own recognizance with no objections from the U.S. attorney's office.
