2026 Mid-Term Elections

Is she though?
Yes. She is suffering harsh consequences by her own party just for rejecting the hostile takeover.
Women are at substantial risk of enduring further right losses with Rogers being elected.
It would have been far better if Stevens, or some other normal Democrat, had won the primary. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
I wish we had a second party that made it possible to vote for the other side not a dagger in one's own back.
And Dems can get a majority in the Senate without Michigan.
It won't be easy. I don't think Collins is losing Maine.
The long term consequences of AES winning are far worse than losing one Senate seat. I am thinking about normalization of Islamism in the Democratic Party, and also ahead to the 2028 primary where DSA will get a boost from AES's MI win.
Most of the DSA candidates have lost. El Sayed winning in Michigan is more of a sign of just how bad the Trump Admin has been. He isn't poison like Paxton is, but he worries too many people. But gas/diesel prices are driving people to the polls.
El Sayed isn't putting the Taliban on the Supreme Court.
Neither is Rogers.
Rogers will support the same people like Alito, Thomas, Scalia who think gay rights, voting rights, women's rights are in poor taste with the Constitution.
But El Sayed might advocate for another kind of Islamist, e.g. an MB sympathizer, to be thus elevated.
ROTFLMFAO.
Will you stop using Israel as your shield to protect you from criticism of your bigotry?
It's not "bigotry"...
Your posts are misogynistic and bigoted and you waving an Israeli flag as defense mechanism is just vulgar.

Most of her staff has resigned now.
Stevens is pretty brave for doing this. Like jumping on a hand grenade. I hope her sacrifice will be enough to cause enough independents and moderate Dems to not vote for AES.

AES winning in a purple state would be a huge boost for the Israel-hating DSA wing. This is especially dangerous since the 2028 primary season usually starts by Summer of the year before, which is only 7-8 months from now.
Guess who agrees with you.

According to NPR Haley Stevens endorses GOP candidate in Michigan Senate race, spurning Abdul El-Sayed
"As you may have seen, our Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, Abdul, said I was no longer welcome in his campaign and that I should stay away, and he's right," Stevens said in a video she posted to social media on Sunday. "And that's why I am endorsing Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate today."

Her statement followed a surprise appearance with Rogers at a church in Detroit......

Tensions accelerated after Stevens' fiance, Jason Turkish, said he planned to vote for Rogers. In a subsequent TV appearance, Stevens maintained she was still planning to support the Democratic nominee. She urged El-Sayed to denounce a recent ad by Cenk Uygur, of Young Turks, that blamed Israel for high grocery prices in the United States.

"The ad tells Michigan families they cannot afford groceries because their money has to be set aside 'for killing Palestinians,' and it blames our close ally Israel for everything Michiganders cannot afford," she wrote.

El-Sayed's campaign had said he had nothing to do with the ad and criticized the contents of the ad on Saturday.

Stevens said she was originally scheduled to attend a different church event in Detroit on Sunday alongside El-Sayed and Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C. The planned joint appearance was meant to be a unifying event for the party ahead of the election. But on Friday, Stevens set a condition for her participation in the event — that El-Sayed reject the ad and apologize for rhetoric she considered to be inflammatory and offensive.
So, Ms Stevens demands that El-Sayed reject and apologize for the rhetoric for an ad that he had nothing to do with, El-Sayed criticizes the ad, and she flips to endorse Rogers. Doesn't lool like courage courageous to me.
