2026 Mid-Term Elections

Their name? Indigenous is a status not an identity. Of the issues in her statement, those seem the more trite to complain about.
On the matter of something trite to complain about...

The name of the group she is defending is colloquially known as "Indigenous People". Not "Indegenous folx". I suspect the average Indigenous person reading her tweet would say, "Cancel Thanksgiving? WTF? Me and my family love our time together at Thanksgiving!" Not to mention their bafflement and dismissal of some progressive rando unilaterally using the obscure term "folx" to describe them.

Sure, complaining about "Cancel Thanksgiving" is the bigger fish here, but that notion is so patently absurd from all angles that its up there with the babble coming from a tin foil hat wearing homeless guy. That is, you just sort of listen for a couple of seconds, say "Ooooookay" and quickly move on.

On the matter of something trite to comment on, it's "my family and I", not "me and my family"

“Residents’ reactions have been mixed. The council’s repeated electoral success indicates substantial support, but some residents—especially LGBTQ+ people and progressive allies—have strongly criticized particular actions associated with its socially conservative positions.”
Socially conservative you say?! So like, no different than what the default "socially conservative" demographic believes?
Bingo. (AI said that, so consider the source)
I’m like *skroink!*
I guess they sound funny or eat weird food or something.

So Hong lost the primary in Wisconsin. Right-wing radio needed to do some creative spin.

Hong's loss is important. Further than comfortable to the Left candidates in areas not very liberal are not primed for state wide elections, in general, and especially in purple areas. So now it is an establishment candidate against a guy who voted to steal an election in 2020.
