2026 Mid-Term Elections

based on what he is quoted to have said in that article it seems he should appeal to the “America First” Trump crowd because he doesn’t want to support foreign countries or get into wars and to spend money on America. Isn’t that what they claim they want?
Probably how he wants to sound, yes.
Modern politics has proven that is all that matters some of the time. trump being a great example. And now that trump has proven to not uphold the policies he claimed he did perhaps his prior voters might consider someone else who espouses those policies.

National GOP pulling it's money out of the North Carolina and Georgia Senate races, pretty much conceding them.
Most pollstarg giving the Dems a 56 to 60% chance of taking the Senate.
Seen elsewhere.

Since when do the ideologies of in laws or their “connections” or those of siblings and parents?
Did you stop reading midway, or just incapable of comprehending written word?

While marrying into an Islamist family while having an Islamist birth family is sus in itself, it can be explained away.
And yet you attempted to smear him with it. It appears you’te the one incapable of comprehending the written word.

What definitely can't be explained away is him receiving monetary support from his Islamist pro-MB FIL
Maybe it is purely family ties.
Derec said:
nor him speaking at the Islamist pro-MB conference (ISNA) that his FIL is affiliated with and which featured some speakers that explicitly endorsed Islamic terrorism.
It is dodgy the conference has been jn the last year or two.
And without knowing his reasons fir supporting the NB, dodgy is as far as reasonable person should go.

Put insinuating he agrees with the speakers who endorsed Islamic terrorism is just another smear attempt.

When you deviate from his statements and actions in their context, your posts are just sad bigoted and failed smear attempts.

Reuters reports infighting as the midterm strategy has not moved the needle for Republicans.
Also reported on is the redistricting that had taken place for the midterms. Of particular concern is Texas where the slicing and dicing relies on Hispanic voter turnout, something that may not happen in these days of stretched household budgets.
Midterm prospects dim

One of the problems with gerrymandering is that it leaves you winning districts by only a fairly small margin - you win more districts, but by fewer votes in each.

Which can make you very vulnerable to large swings in voter opinion.
In theory at least. That is only a problem if some idiot makes gas over $4 a gallon nationally and diesel over $6 a gallon nationally. The billions of grift, failure with Iran operation, weaponization of the DOJ, reckless and pointless and costly tariffs, seizing election records, murdering a couple Americans... nothin'.

Hell hath known no fury greater than a low information voter who's gasoline costs $4.50 a gallon (err... $1.20 per liter). $4.50 a gallon for gas... I'm outraged!

IIRC that is how Joh was able to beat the gerrymander Queensland Labour imposed and turned then it against them.

In case you were wondering who asked the question;

The Handbasket is first to report that Tommy is Thomas Teepell, who, according to his X and Facebook profiles, currently lives in Detroit. Teepell served as Operations Director for Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley until February of this year, according to Legistorm. He then took a job as Political Director for the failed gubernatorial campaign of Philip Sarnecki, a Republican businessman in Kansas.

And yes, he's a nepo baby who got his gig because of his dad.

Hopefully not. Populists from both sides are bad news for the country.

Wrong. It's still you.
First of all, something is not a smear when it's true. Second, it was not intended to be a standalone argument for those incapable of reading past the first paragraph, but setting the stage for what AES himself did.
Maybe it is purely family ties.
It is not, as I have explained.
It is dodgy the conference has been jn the last year or two.
Huh? The fact remains that he spoke at the Islamist conference.
And without knowing his reasons fir supporting the NB, dodgy is as far as reasonable person should go.
What possible reason would make it ok?
Put insinuating he agrees with the speakers who endorsed Islamic terrorism is just another smear attempt.
It is his responsibility to know what the conference he chose to speak at is all about.
You certainly would not be as understanding if a Republican chose to speak at a conference alongside Neo-Nazis. Or if he chose to accept Neo-Nazi funding from his Neo-Nazi funding. And you would at least look askance if his family was steeped in Neo-Nazism.
When you deviate from his statements and actions in their context, your posts are just sad bigoted and failed smear attempts.
His action is getting funded by Islamists affiliated with MB and speaking at an Islamist conference with MB ties.

You and your Ilk are bamboozled by him espousing "progressive" economic policies like M4A or wealth taxes. I think this is a Trojan horse. Same goes for the likes of Adam Hamawy (shoo-in for Congress in NJ and former associate of the terrorist mastermind the Blind Sheikh) and Avila Chevalier (shoo-in for Congress in NY and a Muslim convert who celebrated 10/7 atrocities and who is dating a former Al Qaeda lawyer).

[AES practicing taqiyya, the Islamic practice of lying about one's true beliefs to the kafir]
If he is really disavowing MB, then why did he speak at a pro-MB Islamist conference? Why did he accept funding from his MB FIL?

And notice how quickly he glossed over it and proceeded to attack the questioner for even having the temerity to ask him a question?

It was a bigoted question. The same as you are doing here.

Probably a good idea for the climate for gas and diesel to be more expensive. I see so many large lifted trucks used as commuter vehicles around here to truly believe that the fuel prices are too high for most people.

It wasn't that long ago that Democratic presidential candidates, including the future Vice President, supported shutting down most of domestic oil and natural gas production, which would have certainly driven prices much higher than they are now. I do not think we should shut down or even hamstring domestic production, but we should discourage overconsumption via carbon taxes. I just wish Dems would have the balls to propose a carbon tax. Impact on working and middle class could be reduced by giving them (say anyone making <$100k) an annual or monthly voucher. Since there would not be a requirement to spend it a certain way, using less fuel - by getting a more fuel efficient vehicle, driving less, or simply driving in a more milage-conscious way, those people would have extra money in their pocket.

It's not a bigoted question given his ties to Islamist groups. Just because he is a Muslim does not mean we should not be able to question his ties with extremists. Especially when his position is that he does not want to support our ally in the case of attack by the islamofascists in Tehran.
