2026 Mid-Term Elections

Are you disputing the facts of the report or just complaining about the outlet reporting them?
Is a reputable source reporting these alleged "facts"? Because DSN is definitely not reputable.

What makes you think they're not reputable? When I checked Media Bias it said Drop Site News was mostly factual in its reporting. Not stellar, but not known for publishing bullshit, either.

Middle East Eye has put out a video on the Drop Site News report that includes what is apparently photos of the registration documents.

And even if true, what would be wrong with two Rogers staffers being affiliated with Israel? They are our ally.

Foreign agents are influencing the election in Michigan. If you don't give a shit about that, then that's you willing to be someone else's dupe.

I would very much prefer if the foreign agents were kept at a distance, not right in the middle of a press conference where a Democrat endorses a Republican for reasons he or she won't explain.
Since when have you had a problem with making fun of someone's looks?
Depends on the person my personal bias against them I guess.
FYP

Can you please document these long term consequences now so that we might compare them to future events should he win, please?
The damage he can do by himself is limited. However, his win in a purple state will make a DSA-like candidate in 2028 more likely to succeed. Furthermore, his win as well as Hamawy's almost certain win in NJ-it will further electing Islamists to office on a Democratic platform.

This is too vague to be able to really compare to future events. I guess it’s just a feeling you have that it will result in bad outcomes.

Like you did for Mamdani in NYC, no?
He hasn't been in power long enough to know all long term consequences, but you can Higher taxes, he is fighting against any immigration enforcement, and

Surely he has been in office long enough now for us to at least see some of the bad effects you alluded to back when he was running and you were warning us. I believe I had asked you to document your predictions then too.

I'll be so glad after tomorrow, just for no more political commercials.

Not only did Rogers and his PAC supporters display extreme bigotry and hate, Rogers endorsed ads were complete lies.

He said El Sayed supported a 2000 dollar energy tax increase for every household, no proof of this. Rogers said El Sayed supported a property tax increase. That one had a supporting source so I actually looked it up. It said El Sayed was critical of the way property taxes were distributed but nothing about increasing those taxes. Another ad by Rogers said the reason for the increased fuel costs was because of the "Green New Deal that El Sayed supports." The GND never passed and was never implemented.

Lying mother fucker.

I'm glad that I don't live in a "swing state". But I don't watch TV or listen to the radio. I get my news from the website of NYT, CNN, AP, Politico, CBC, Boston Globe so I don't have to listen to the lies from the GOP.

The FBI sent an agent to Petersburg, Alaska (pop. slightly over 3,000) to interview people who had donated money to Dan J. Sullivan's campaign.

FBI visits Dan J. Sullivan donor in candidate's hometown as Alaska Senate inquiry widens

Flint contributed $500 over the summer to what he considered a long-shot campaign, saying he knew Dan J. Sullivan would have expenses and respected him for "throwing his hat in the ring." Flint said the FBI agent asked his son, who works at the dealership, whether Flint felt he had been "misled" about which candidate he was supporting.

"I don't feel like I've been misled at all," Flint, who has been out of town, told the AP in a telephone interview, adding he had no intention of calling the agent but would "let him waste his time trying to track me down."

"I don't think there's any confusion," he said, adding he intends to rank Democrat Mary Peltola first on his ballot, followed by Dan J. Sullivan. "Everybody knows who the incumbent is".

They didn't just visit Petersburg, either.

Two different FBI agents were dispatched to Sitka to conduct a brief interview at the doorstep of another donor. That donor, who asked that their name not be published given the ongoing investigation, said the agents asked whether the contribution had been made to the Sullivan the donor intended. The conversation lasted about five minutes, the donor told the AP.

The donor said the agents were "scrupulously polite" and emphasized that the conversation was entirely voluntary.

Yet another donor, Pat Campbell, of Groton, Massachusetts, said a couple of FBI agents came to her door Friday and spoke with her husband.

"They said they were from the FBI and investigating fraud in election contributions," Campbell wrote in a text message to AP. "No, we had not been defrauded. We knew to whom we had contributed."

I'm not sure what constitutes voter intimidation under Alaska law but the FBI looking for donors to a neighbor's political campaign has got to be pretty close.

Also, what about Eric Hafner's campaign donors? Is the FBI interviewing them and asking if any of them think they were defrauded?

I heard yesterday a pretty highly respected election predictor, forgot the name but most here would know it (I'm terrible at remembering names), predicted the Dems would gain 22 seats in the House and 6 in the Senate.

Westchester County in New York having paper thickness problems. WTF people?!
article said:
In a statement, the Westchester County Board of Elections said “the thickness of paper ballots” was “preventing voting machines from accepting ballots.” As it works to resolve the issue, the board urged residents to continue voting so ballots can be processed later.

Meanwhile 1000 year rain event is causing precincts to move at the last second in Florida.
article said:
About half a year’s worth of rain — up to 28 inches — fell along portions of Florida’s Space Coast in just a day and a half, from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening, according to radar estimates.

That deluge led to widespread flooding and serious damage in some places, and prompted Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to declare a state of emergency for seven counties in the eastern and central part of the state.

Early Tuesday, the Florida secretary of state’s office published a list of polling locations it said would be moved to “ensure that residents in those areas in affected counties still have the ability to vote.” The sites are spread across Brevard, Broward, Highlands, Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties.

Just sayin'...after Nov. 8, 2016, I am unable to celebrate anything ahead of the event. There's always that cosmic banana peel, or, in our world today, a dingleberry from Trump's behind waiting to fall. A turd of Damocles.
There will be time a-plenty to celebrate if the big win actually happens. And yeah, then I'll actually sit still and watch Trump explode and find enemies to blame.

If a big win happens, that helps some things. But we are deep in the hole as it is. With damage that'll take decades to fix. But it is at least something.

No doubt about that. Our country is broken, debt-ridden, prone to delusion, and the world considers us to be unstable (true), backstabbing (often true), and prone to extreme craziness (just look around.)
