Islamists believe that Islamic countries should be theocracies. A Muslim doesn't necessarily believe this at all.
Ok... so what are you suggesting? That we ASK every muslim what they believe about that? Then go about proving that whatever they said is in fact what they believe?
Sounds like a recipe for ... nothing good. But you do have support for that notion from the far right:
An Islamist believes that Islamic Law should form the basis for a system of government (even a moistened bint lobbing a scimitar would be better!) and that Islam should expand to control all the World.
So yeah,. it's just a matter of asking what they believe. It's not like anyone ever lies about what they believe. Right wing extremists never ever pretend that they're not right wing extremists, right, @
