Another Step in Russia's Decent

I think this is original

But the video I saw was less formal and he used word shambles I think.

See, that wasn't very hard. Good work on finally getting aroung to doing the basic and trivial work required of those making a claim.

This does go back to what I was saying earlier. So, Obama is happy that the economic pressure that he's applying to Russia is having the effect he intended and the country is suffering negative consequences in response to what Obama feels are its negative actions. Why is Obama's opinion of that so important to the self-worth of the Russians in question that they feel the need to act out in such a childish and immature fashion?

From the 1/15 SOTU speech.:

Second, we’re demonstrating the power of American strength and diplomacy. We’re upholding the principle that bigger nations can’t bully the small -- by opposing Russian aggression, and supporting Ukraine’s democracy, and reassuring our NATO allies. (Applause.)

Last year, as we were doing the hard work of imposing sanctions along with our allies, as we were reinforcing our presence with frontline states, Mr. Putin’s aggression it was suggested was a masterful display of strategy and strength. That's what I heard from some folks. Well, today, it is America that stands strong and united with our allies, while Russia is isolated with its economy in tatters. That’s how America leads -- not with bluster, but with persistent, steady resolve. (Applause.)

Not exactly "Russian economy is in shambles and it is good".
I saw the different video and I am actually very good at reading people.
Obama would not have needed damage control if what he said was not correctly perceived as satisfaction from russian troubles.
In any case, it's not really a secret that US have been wanting to regime change Putin out for a while, russian economy be damned.

How does any remotely sane person take Obama's attitude or the USA's foreign policy as reasons for banning books. It's a total non-sequitur.

This is complete nonsense.

Complete nonsense is: a people locking up more territory than any other then constantly worrying about others using their their neighbors to get at them; a leader claiming national ethnicity protection when that country had exported most of those people when it last controlled the nation about which they are complaining; shit, any country claiming ethnic priorities anywhere when people from many brands are located there (that shoots US Muslim blaming conservatives too - I'm proud of that)

Go ask these Oregon terrorists :)
Let me be honest, Obama was talking trash about Russia, and these russian rednecks took it on closest thing associated with him - Soros.
Soros is pretty controversial figure in Russia. He spent a lot of money supporting "liberals" which failed miserably in Russia, and people still remember that. Of course textbooks have nothing to do with it.

You are very good listener to US media propaganda.

I believe I just explained that.
Soros is an american (!), he paid for printing these innocent books (!) Obama is an american president (!)
Soros is "famous" in Russia for supporting "liberals" in the 90s who did nothing but theft.
Also these economic sanctions, Obama failed to mention that they cost US absolutely nothing. Europe is paying for them. And they are not too happy about it. I wish he have mentioned that

They're Russians - it is what they have been doing for decades, if not centuries.

I hate burning books, but I do not like Soros either.
Really. What part about Soros don't you like that would allow you to add a ", but..." after saying you don't like burning books?
This might explain it:

"Soros is a well known supporter of progressive–liberal political causes." - Wikipedia

and thank you for liberating Russia from nazies in WW2.

Neither I nor the USA had anything to do with liberating Russia from the Nazies in WWII. Just like neither I nor the USA had anything to do with Russia become an ally of the Nazies in WWII.

The United States gave to the Soviet Union from October 1, 1941 to May 31, 1945 the following: 427,284 trucks, 13,303 combat vehicles, 35,170 motorcycles, 2,328 ordnance service vehicles, 2,670,371 tons of petroleum products (gasoline and oil), 4,478,116 tons of foodstuffs (canned meats, sugar, flour, salt, etc.), 1,900 steam locomotives, 66 Diesel locomotives, 9,920 flat cars, 1,000 dump cars, 120 tank cars, and 35 heavy machinery cars. One item typical of many was a tire plant that was lifted bodily from the Ford Company's River Rouge Plant and transferred to the USSR. The 1947 money value of the supplies and services amounted to about eleven billion dollars.[37]

Common sentiment in Russia is that US is responsible for all troubles.
Well maybe the Russians should lay off the vodka, get their heads out of their asses, and realize that most of their troubles have to do with the neo-czarist, former KGB-agent dictator they have.

You must understand, Putin is Russia's Trump and many Russians are the equivalent of Trump voters.

But I think it has the opposite (to intention) effect, because poor people support Putin. It's "middle" class which wanted him stay away. Now thanks to Obama's tatter strategy russian "middle" class is getting thinner.

No, Russian Trump is named "Zhirinovsky"
You and really everybody should educate yourself about Russian politics.

Right, this is all that I've been saying. It's an expression of their lack of self-worth that they go and take out their negative emotions on something that has a marginal association to Obama if you squint and look at it sideways. Their actions are a negative comment about them and not a negative comment about anything that was done to them. They should instead be working to feel good about themselves and not worrying about whether or Obama cares to validate them.

And in return the Soviets, including Russia, gave the world victory over Nazi Germany at the cost of 12-20 million lives give or take a few million.
Not a bad bargain for the US and the rest of the world, leaving the US and Britain free to fight the Japs and eventually the Germans in Europe.

wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Front_(World_War_II)

Although the majority of German military deaths occurred on the Eastern Front, German losses on the Western Front were almost irreplaceable, because most of Germany's resources were being allocated to the Eastern Front. This meant that, while losses there could be replaced to some extent, very few replacements or reinforcements were being sent to the west to stop the advance of the Western Allies

Too bad that the Soviet system, in some ways worse than the Nazis, lasted another 45 years after WW II.

You keep being ridiculous. Nobody in Russia or in Oregon's standout cares about Obama's validation.
All I am saying, russians have more reasons to be pissed off at Obama than these idiots in Oregon which really have nothing, so go and criticize these idiots first and then and only then criticize these russian idiots.

It lasted another 45 years because US decided to put "sanctions" on USSR the moment WW2 ended.
