No, Arya is going to kill litter finger.

Wasn't Jacken Hagar able to face-shift even tho the person was not yet dead? And really, it's not like arya really has dead faces full of skin and hair since they'd decay and shit. So maybe she does turn into Sansa for the purposes of killing Little Finger, but without her having to kill her sister?

The implication from the shows is that they are actual faces, no-doubt preserved by some process, which we see Arya taking a part in the process during her time in the House of Black and White. I also think that aside from the one face she took, she has extracted her own.

In the books, I believe the face-changing was much more magical, but in the books, Arya is still in the House of Black and White in the books...

In the show, Arya comes back after killing the 'wrong' target. And she is told a price must be paid. The guy keeps changing his face, and at one point, one of her faces appears. Then she goes blind.

See, I remember that too. So maybe the show has altered the face-shifting, and they can then have Arya changing to Sansa's face without her having to kill Sansa.

I recognize the books have it done differently, but outside of the time sips not making it on screen for most of the watchers to be happy about having to realize, lie in the lake scene where it clearly goes from one day t the net with John and Co clearly near hypothermic as a result of the exposure. Ok I get that things are moving more quickly.

While I want to keep watching t the end, I just think if they go through too many deus ex machinas in future it's gonna ruin things. But if they do a few lines of dialogue from Arya explaining to Sansa that she did not necessarily need to kill someone to have their face afterwards, then Arya could kill Little Finger and that fucker can stop meddling in everyone's shit to suit himself.Then we can get back to the Night King and Co, and John and Co, and I suppose his fucking with Dany, his aunt, which is creepy but for the show just about a crazy as they've already written it.

Makes me think they might have a decent wedding without any death or rape scenes for once in this whole shebang.

What, the already dead guy, who killed some of the other already dead guys, can't be killed because he is already dead?

The already dead guys seem to be pretty easy to re-kill; a whole bunch of them just dropped dead when the wight that was animating them was killed. There's lots of precedent in the story for dead people who are re-animated to be re-killed.

What makes you say that? She beats back the girl she trains with once, then kills her in the dark, and all of a sudden, Arya is a master assassin. So why not?

I can't wait till Arya and Jon try to see who has the most abdominal stab wounds.

The already dead seem to go limp, but aren't killed. Wasn't the character that sought out Bran with his sister stabbed to death by just a forearm holding a knife? It isn't quite clear what it takes to stop those dead things, so I stand by my original claim, until I need to change it.

The already dead guys seem to be pretty easy to re-kill; a whole bunch of them just dropped dead when the wight that was animating them was killed.

That's different. That was a tell as to how to kill the entire undead army... ie... killing the host Ice King.

Yeah plot is starting to get worse now. Where were they keeping those chains? Are they going to be used for anything else or were they just in case this exact scenario played out? Why not have your undead giants pull him out?

When you consider where Hardholm is on the map and what Jon's been up to up to this point from the events of Hardholm onward, the WW should really have been at that gate a while ago.

I hate it when movies and tv shows set up war so that if you kill one bad guy, the entire army falls. It's basically the same trope that scifi uses with "hive minds" or with space stations that can be destroyed with one well-aimed shot at an exhaust port.

Sure it makes sense that if you kill an autocrat who has not set up a line of succession, his or her army may fall into disarray and eventually lose the war, but having everyone magically drop dead is not plausible.

Oh, well, it's just light entertainment. Even the absurdities and errors have some degree of entertainment value....if they don't go so far as to kill the story/series.

Well in defense of that... they are walking dead people because of magic in the first place. The question is can you kill these main guys with anything but Valerian steel and dragon glass? They seem to be able to repeal fire. Now it should be noticed that the last time Jon killed a Whitewalker, this didn't happen (so it was apparently just decided that this would be the case).
