That's patently false. Nobody force people to lie in Russia.
There are few cases of people being convicted of lying, that's true. I disagree with this approach but I understand why government is doing it.

Look, I get that it's easy to dunk on Putin and Trump - two loser peas in a pod - but let's keep this on topic. The fact that "Biden-gate" has been a complete bust. Sure, we can point out that Putin is getting his cancer-ridden ass handed to him by a comedian, and flowers are going to be blooming in Ukraine for generations fed by the decaying remains of Russian soldiers, but the truth is that "Hunter Biden's Laptop" is a dead end, and a losing proposition...much like a certain "special military operation."
The effort by Trump and Putin to take down Joe Biden has been underway since at least 2017. Since then, Ukraine's pro-Russian government was thrown out on it's ear, America's pro-Russian leader was thrown out of office, Hunter Biden went to rehab, his laptop hasn't produced anything of value, and multiple NATO nations who were skeptical of Ukraine joining the alliance are now sending them weapons and/or welcoming them with open arms.
A little over 5 years ago Trump, Rudy, Putin and others figured it was going to be a slam-dunk. Biden (Hunter and Joe) would be kneecapped, Ukraine would be folded into Russia, and Trump would be on his way to disbanding NATO.
How's that all working out for our intrepid friend here? In the words of Tucker "I despise Trump passionately," I'm just asking questions....

Biden-gate is only beginning. RussiaGate on the other hand is a bust.
I have passed through immigration/customs of many countries admittedly long ago.
Observation:
First world countries may care about things that could harbor pests but otherwise it's cursory. (Note: This was before the heyday of the drug war.)
Third world countries pretty much don't care other than seeing you as a source of revenue and perhaps someone to be fleeced if things aren't exactly in order.
Second world countries, however, were where there was a lot of inspection on arrival, sometimes also on departure. At one point my mother noted that nobody ever inspected her folding blind-cane despite it being quite apparent to anyone who thought about it that it was hollow. (Several segments of metal tubing with a cable running through it. Loose, it's a cluster of segments with the cable threaded through; flip the tensioner and it becomes a rigid shaft. Even without understanding the mechanism it's obvious there's a cable threaded through it.) That was because we had nothing else of that size that hadn't drawn multiple inspections. They looked at paper, nobody else did. (Note: Pre-internet.) It's all because they want to keep facts out.
We were never able to visit Russia--your government didn't want visitors who would actually observe rather than just see the sights, spend money and leave.

I am not sure what you mean here. But youtube is filled with channels of western expats living and observing the hell out of Russia. Recently I watched one "crazy" Scottish (I think) lady who traveled alone by train in Russia, not speaking any word in russian.
Lots of videos about how sanctions did nothing to life in Russia.
Some expats have been living in Russia since 90s and speak near perfect russian.
Your media lies about Russia. They lied even during 90s, when relations were technically good.

If you ask me, AlfaBankGate should be investigated and people should go to prison.
First time I've ever heard of an investigation that lead to multiple arrests and enough assets seized for the investigation to turn a profit to be labelled "a bust".
That word you used; bust? I do not think it means what you think it means. Biden-gate on the other hand, well it would take a miracle for that bullshit to have any meaningful impact. Hunter's laptop being a bullshit story is not as inconceivable as you would believe.

British and american guy from english language school. I watch them, they are pretty funny.
It's mostly in russian. Half of the time American dude has no accent at all. The rest of the time his accent does not sound american.

One french lady had zero accent, she even looked "russian". I remember her talking about leaving Russia after recent events but she decided to stay.
