It does remains to be seen. What helps this time around is that MAGA is not traditional Republican anymore, Trump is at least more street smart with politics, there are a lot less RINO's, he has both sides of the house for 2 years, and he has the smartest person on the planet working for him right now. Will his teams actually be able to do any good though? All we can do is hope for the best.

If he has the smartest people working for him why does their primary product seem to be making major mistakes? He's got some idiots who think they know an awful lot more than they really do.

The thing that gets me (still) is how stupid he was to pull out of the Iran deal. That wasn't looking 5 years ahead, but was looking decades ahead.

You're assuming Iran was actually complying.

No, but that was the deal, and there were mechanisms in place to at least attempt to enforce compliance. It was less about making them 100 percent compliant from day one, and more about giving them relief in trade for actual compliance AND a long-term plan to use "soft power" to effect (a little) regime change in Iran.

The "throw the deal out the window" plan has led to them going right back to what they were doing without a pretense of compliance, throwing even more support behind terrorists, as well as (now) Trump launching missile strikes on Yemen and threatening war with Iran.

Would we be doing this if all sides had stuck to the deal for 10 years? I think not.
