This reminds me of a Catholic Monsignor I heard on the radio after a report into the Catholic Church child sex scandal here in Ireland. He actually had the balls to blame the counter culture of the 1960s as one of the reasons that catholic priests raped kids. You see, because promiscuous sex and free love became a thing in the 1960s, it eroded away at traditional family values, such that priests became confused as to what was acceptable when it came to sex.

Therefore some priests had sex with children because their morals were confused to what was rig and wrong when it came to sex.
