Also please note that I know how to use capitalization and apostrophes correctly, so when forging quotes that you want to allege are mine, I would appreciate it if you were to use them correctly too.

Sorrynotsorry - it was funny. Sometimes I get distracted when someone makes a good humor bit that artfully takes the tools of the Abrahamists and uses it to teach how they can be less awful, if only they would read their own book and listen t their own god.


But bacck to the topic, then. Have yo given a good reason why an omnipotent god would need humans to tell its story?

Have you answered yet why it decided to suddenly stop talking to humans in person according to your lore?

I have heard it said that ET sightings are the new angels. There is a theory that was proposed called Bicameral Mind. It may have been common for people to see thinking superimposed on reality as a way of working things out. Hearing inner voices. When I was working on complicated problems I did not hear voices but I'd have a dialogue of sorts with myself. The first Abrahamic concept of god may have just been simple psychology.

The problem many of us have is that Christians talk about biblical values, but rarely practice them. If the faith is true how can anything we say perturb you?

You and your brethren proselytize Jesus and the gospels but do not seem to ever understand what those values are, wgat they men, and what the true spiritual state is.

So, when you talk faith to someone you are trying to persuade, what exactly are the values and life you are promoting?

In any case, there doesn't seem to be a divine source of the Truth except as espoused second hand by other humans. If they keep it to themselves except for Mel Brooks' movies, it's still up to humans for any modern continuity of Their God's Word.

Well, they were "called out" in the OP. If I started a thread titled "Trump, Pence, Sanders, etc, why do you want to start a war with Iran" I would expect someone to point out that one of those names is not like the others.

Don't know why you started a second thread. The summary of what I have seen on different threads as to why.

1, There is a NT mandate to go out and convert. The word gospel itself means good news or something like that.

3, It alleviates personal doubt by convincing others to believe. Reinforces faith,

Which traditions do you mean? The Christian-Muslim-Jewish-Hindu tradition of religious conflict? The tradition of Christian sectarian conflict still simmering in N Ireland? Slavery? Misogyny? The border between India and Pakistan is tense due to religious conflict.

There is very little in Christian tradition that is based on the words of JC, there is not much he said in the gospels. People go to war believing god is on their side.

Christian traditions are the result o 2000 years of invented rheology based on personal views and claims of knowing what god wants, like abortion.

We are all very well aware of religious traditions, usually more so than the theists who post here. Most have no idea of the genesis of the bible they read.

Same question as I posed to lion and other Christians in the past. How do you apply scripture in your life? Or is Christianity just a belief in an endless afterlife?

I am not the right guy to ask questions like that. Not orthodox, never claimed to be. I'm sure a lot of Christians would consider me an atheist myself.

Yes, I am curious about that mandate. It was written by humans, of course, as we all know. And so the question is why? Why did they write that Christians would need to humanly spread the "good news"? Because they knew their "god" couldn't?

Makes them feel godly. The "feel good" religion. Do whatever if it makes you feel good, right?

Other humans. I agree, Christians feel even better about their faith when they have other humans believing in them.
And it is so NOT divine.
