Climate Change(d)?

We can all move to Santa Monica when the sh*t hits the fan....
The holy, the wise, those who have learned of this world and have already divested themselves of worldly things, those people have already moved to Santa Monica, and most of them are crashing out drunk on Swiz's doorstep.
Swiz would be well served to engage one or more of them in conversation. :)

We can take turns shaking his hand as we drink beer and sing auld lang syne.

It looks like all the good camping spots may already be taken in Santa Monica. It is that great year round temperature.

Santa Monica's homeless population was recorded at 812 individuals in the 2025 Point-in-Time Count, a 5% increase from 2024. This marks a departure from the downward regional trend, with the local increase driven by a rise in people living in cars, vans, and RVs, as well as those in shelters. The majority of Santa Monica's unhoused population is not from the city, with a large portion originating from outside the area, creating a regional challenge for the city to address in isolation

Santa Monica's homeless population was recorded at 812 individuals, and 810 of them were sleeping on Swiz's lawn.

Seriously, that's like one homeless person per 150 residential units in SM. Isn't one residence in a hundred fifty willing to take in a homeless person? What with the price of labor today, you'd think they'd be lining up. If everyone would house a homeless person for just two nights a year, you'd have a total shortage of homeless people, making room on Swiz's lawn for the next wave of climate refugees.

The climate apocalypse narrative is unraveling in the UK as people realize how bonkers the Net Zero religion is

The number of Britons who think the dangers of global warming have been exaggerated has jumped by more than 50 per cent in the past four years, new research for The Times reveals today. One in four voters now believe that concerns over climate change are not as real as scientists have said, amid growing public concern at the cost of the government’s net zero policies. Less than a third of the public (30 per cent) are in favour of banning new petrol and diesel cars — down from 51 per cent in 2021. Experts said the findings showed that growing climate scepticism within mainstream politics in both Britain and the US was cutting through with voters, as the broad consensus on climate action breaks down. “Climate change is being politicised [in the UK] in the same way that has been done in the United States,” said Professor Wouter Poortinga, an environmental psychologist at the University of Cardiff.

The Times

wtf is an “environmental psychologist”?

A catastrophic mid 70s degrees in Santa Monica.
