Columbia University is colluding with the far-right in its attack on students

Not having, you know, committed any crimes...
Damage to property is a crime. Trespassing is a crime.
Again, since you seemed to have missed it the first time:
ABC News said:
"As a result of the unauthorized and unlawful encampments at the three locations, the group damaged the Shapiro fountain, spray-painted brick walkways, tampered with fire safety equipment, damaged patio furniture, stripped wire from electrical fixtures, and vandalized vehicles," police said.
Funny that your Ilk thinks this is not criminal, as long as your fellow Leftists do it.

Do you have an example of righties doing the same and getting jail time?

That all sounds like the kind of violation that would result in a citation, yes. Which they received. But it sounded like you wanted them arrested. On what charges? For how long?

Many January 6ers got some jail time for trespassing and disorderly conduct. The pro-Hamas creeps also damaged property, even ripping out electricity cables.

Vandalism for one. In California, that is a felony >$400. But even misdemeanor vandalism can carry jail time.
I would say a week or two in jail plus some serious community service would be appropriate.
Fines are not effective, since these groups are very well funded.

Gaza protest, vandalism targets Palestinian UN Mission in New York
ABC News said:
A New York City protest tied to the war in Gaza prompted a large police response early Wednesday and the closure of a block on the city's Upper East Side, where the Palestinian Mission to the United Nations was vandalized and demonstrators littered the street with leaflets smeared with red paint and encouraging the intifada, according to police.
Other vandalism incidents suspected to be linked to the protest were discovered in four other areas of the city overnight, including at the homes of the Jewish director of the Brooklyn Museum and several of the museum's board members, officials said. Also, a video surfaced Wednesday showing apparent protesters chanting antisemitic threats on a crowded New York City subway car this week.

Politesse, Zipr, do you think these are crimes also not a big deal?
An inverted red triangle was also painted on Pasternak's door, a symbol that has been used by Hamas to mark Israeli military targets and which has also been seen recently at some university protests.
The mask is completely off. They are not even trying to hide their allegiance to Hamas any more.

Ah, so you are claiming if all of these individuals were put in jail for one week, they would lose their will to continue protesting the Gaza War?

Not equivalent to
About 25 people were arrested Monday night as they attempted to set up a tent encampment...
But I think you knew that.

The article said nothing about vandalism.

Strawman and whataboutism.

I suggest you read more clearly. The article does mention vandalism. To wit,
ABC News said:
"As a result of the unauthorized and unlawful encampments at the three locations, the group damaged the Shapiro fountain, spray-painted brick walkways, tampered with fire safety equipment, damaged patio furniture, stripped wire from electrical fixtures, and vandalized vehicles," police said.

Moreover, I quoted this part in post #1060, so you have no excuse for ignoring it. This is vandalism, in many cases felony vandalism, as it doesn't take much to accumulate $400 worth of damage when you vandalize vehicles and electrical installations.

Ah, so you are claiming if all of these individuals were put in jail for one week, they would lose their will to continue protesting the Gaza War?
Maybe it will not deter them from protesting, but it might may them think about twice about committing crimes while protesting. And if this does not deter them, second offense should have a harsher penalty - e.g. a couple of months in the pokey. And of course, in each case they should pay restitution for all damages.

Pro-Palestinian protesters take over Cal State LA building, leaving damage and graffiti
AP said:
Demonstrators protesting Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza occupied and trashed a building at California State University, Los Angeles, while the campus president was inside but the takeover ended early Thursday without arrests, a spokesperson said.
Protesters barricaded the multistory Student Services Building at 4 p.m. Wednesday with university President Berenecea Johnson Eanes and dozens of other employees inside, said spokesperson Erik Frost Hollins.
[...]
Images from the scene showed graffiti on the building, furniture blocking doorways and overturned golf carts, picnic tables and umbrellas barricading the plaza out front.
“We don’t have an exact appraisal on it but there was damage to the exterior, the interior, equipment, materials, structure — it was significant damage,” Frost Hollins said.

This is the city run by communist sympathizer Karen Bass, in a county where George Gascon is DA, so these creeps were not even arrested. :rolleyesa: :banghead:

The article you quoted said they were protesting the war. The AP headline claimed they were pro-Palestinian. Where are you getting the idea they were pro-Hamas?

Are you unable to distinguish between those three positions, or are you employing extremist rhetoric as a smear against anyone who protests the war for any reason?

Haven't looked at this thread, but thought this is appropriate coverage about the protests

Bruh, while I agree that they should be arrested for the destruction of property, remember that such actions ultimately led to America's Declaration of Independence. So, technically it's an act of patriotism.
