Cultural appropriation mythicists start to eat their own

Isn't anybody "of colour" wearing western style clothing cultural appropriation of the west?

Depends on if they're wearing western styles because their native clothes aren't considered "work appropriate" in the western dominated world economy, or if they admire western fashion sensibilities and want to adopt them, or if they don't respect western culture but like running bits of it through a schlock mill for shits and giggles.

Nah, unless "they" dress like tribal postcard savages from the 19'th century I'm going be offended. And oh, boy am I going to be offended.

Isn't anybody "of colour" wearing western style clothing cultural appropriation of the west? Not to mention liberal religion, eating at McDonalds, governments that aren't corrupt, any popular music or watching any Hollywood films.

I'm so offended now. All these years I too have have ample reason to be offended, and never knew.

I'm with you pal. When I see black women straighten their naturally curly hair to resemble white women's straight hair, well...I kinda just lose it sometimes. You have no idea what it takes for me to keep my cool when I'm out in public and see this. I think my meditation classes are helping me. I also chant to myself, "This too shall pass".

Nah it would be everybody, since individual articles/styles of clothing come from different countries and ethnicities. You can't just divide clothes into groups based on the colors of the people that wear them for this idea to work in the first place. So we all appropriate other cultures to some degree, but then you knew that already.

I highly doubt the piano tie was invented by anyone in the foreign countries. All western. I'm going to go ahead and say that we invented freedom. So any foreigner not wearing whatever I think they should be wearing is culturally appropriating the hell of my sensitive feelings.

If you're Finnish, is English not technically foreign?

That is more than a little embarrassing right there, and more than a little pathetic. The NDP should be the viable option the Liberals and against the Conservatives... but they do stupid things like this far too often. That only leaves me with the Green Party, and they are not great either.

If someone in charge of PR for a political party deletes a tweet to appease a segment of its voters (however idiotic and unreasonable those voters are), I don't consider that to be that big a deal or a reason to seek another party. It is better to fight against the influence of their idiocy on actual substantive policy matters within the party, while still maintaining an alliance for the purpose of defeating the far more dangerous enemies on the right. Unfortunately, many BLMers and their supporters are too immature or stupid to grasp the need for such an approach, and instead they encourage destroying the alliance and guaranteeing victory by the right if they cannot have total control.

And National Geographic nudity. :)

BELCHERTOWN – A Hampshire College student denied physically assaulting a visiting basketball player over what the student called “cultural appropriation.”

Carmen Figueroa, 20, of Brooklyn, New York, pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in Eastern Hampshire District Court in Belchertown Friday morning.

The charges stem from a Jan. 27 incident at Hampshire College’s Robert Crown Center. According to court documents, Figueroa approached members the Central Maine Community College women’s basketball team and ordered them to remove braids from their hair citing “cultural appropriation.”

Stop the world, I want to get off.

Sounds like first world problems. I wonder if she would try that with these ladies.

"Remember, governments don't cut arts funding to save money.
They do it when they are afraid of what artists do and say."

This is what she apparently looks like.

She is culturally appropriating duck face from Anatidae-Americans.

P.S.: And isn't that puppy-filter the most ridiculous Internet thing in a while?
