Those were pretty much a failure for Democrats. Were they able to derail Kav's nomination, I could see it being a selling point in 2020, but not with him on the bench.

They appear tough, decisive, intelligent and logical. This will, of course, shape out more roundly as time moves forward and more is learned about each person.

What you have to consider is that if both of them run they will end up stealing votes from each other. After all, they are both female, leftist, feminist, sex negative lawyers. So I hope either both of them run, or that neither does.

What about Sherrod Brown? I do not know much about him, but his name has surfaced every so often.

Thanks. I'm not sure what I think of any of this info on Klobachur or Harris, but I'll look into it and what their arguments are.

As for Brown, I'm not familiar enough with him yet.
 
I voted for Bernie in the primary and I voted for Hillary in the election. I have no idea whom I will support yet. But if it comes up as Hillary again, I'll vote for her.
 
I was firmly behind Warren before I ever heard of Bernie, but now I think she would fall easily to Trump. He already nailed her with the "Pocahontas" thing and her then showing herelf to have no native blood. She should have called it a stupid distraction and not go prove him right/wrong.

I think that she made it much worse by taking the DNA test, then trying to collect the million bucks from Trump. But even if this hadn't happened, I just don't find her to be inspiring or having charisma. I can't imagine her coming close to capturing any red or purple state. The next democrat is going to need at least 56 or 57% of the vote next time to beat Trump. That's going to take a transformative politician like Beto, possibly Harris.

I like that you included Hillary Clinton. A lot of polls are leaving her out, even though it is pretty clear she wants to run again. It is possible she might be persuaded not to ... but that does remain to be seen.

Of the rest of the list, only Biden and Sanders would be considered "big names" for those outside of Democratic Party circles. Not everyone is as involved in politics after all. So the rest do need to work on name recognition. Well, Warren also has name recognition, but not in a good way. Biden and Sanders are older than dirt. So is Trump, but he'd be an incumbent which has some advantage.

Well, Harris is my state senator, so perhaps there's some geographical difference here, but... wasn't everyone watching the Kavanaugh hearing? She cannot be criticized for failing to throw herself in front of a camera whenever possible.

This is the human problem in a nutshell.

Too many people want show not substance.

Warren is substance. An educated person should be able to see that.

An educated populace would elect her overwhelmingly over a lying con man like Trump.

Trump is an old bald pear-shaped man wearing wigs orange makeup and shoulder pads fit for the NFL.

All show. No substance.

She's a scholar that taught at the University of Texas School of Law, the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and at Harvard Law School.

She is serious.

She proved him wrong, but she had an issue failing to embrace privately what she was trying to embrace publicly. Also, she is way too old. Much like the current President.
