Don't say gay -- oops!

For example, let's say a human child who self-identifies as female needs to go to the bathroom. The school ushers the child to X bathroom marked with X label. The child says "that's not the right bathroom" and the teacher replies," yes it is. This bathroom marked for X is for X".

LAWSUIT!!! They just taught gender identity.
If the child says "that's not the right bathroom" then gender identity is not being taught. The child already knows it.
What if the child is wrong? Or better yet, can the child be wrong?
And even if the child is wrong, is the teacher allowed to correct them?
Who are you or the teacher to say the child is wrong? That will damage their delicate psyche we are told.
Indeed.

There is no reason to put signs that say 'girls' or 'boys' on school bathroom doors. Whichever one the child chooses to use is the correct one.

Can you not recognize facetiousness?

Oh I can usually recognise facetiousness but some people are so earnest or up themselves it gets hard to tell parody from true belief.
(Present company naturally excluded)

The point is that clearly as per the OP, the law as much targets any expression of gender normative education.

It's running with scissors after tying one's own laces together.

Just like all laws, they are only applied to the intended target. A silly thing like bathroom designation for children who aren't thinking about which room to use based on their sex (since there aren't gender-based bathrooms at home) isn't within the scope. The problem is, that the law bans the instructions of gender identity as a whole which leaves a lot of room for tax money to end up in the hands of some stickler looking to sue the state for money bags. It's poorly written & contentious.

To my knowledge (I can only speak of Orlando Florida) schools were handling the issue fairly well with many students opting to use gender-neutral bathrooms. It was not until after that gosh darn Black President said something that it became an all-out modern media-launched gender war.

I don't believe the federal or state governments should be installing themselves in these issues (which have been around since time immemorable), but since some citizens can't grow up and come to a workable agreement without having to appeal for mommy and daddy's use of force here we are.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – Administrators at a Nebraska school shuttered the school’s award-winning student newspaper just days after its last edition that included articles and editorials on LGBTQ issues, leading press freedom advocates to call the move an act of censorship.

The staff of Northwest Public Schools’ 54-year-old Saga newspaper was informed on May 19 of the paper’s elimination, the Grand Island Independent reported. Three days earlier, the newspaper had printed its June edition, which included an article titled, “Pride and prejudice: LGBTQIA+” on the origins of Pride Month and the history of homophobia. It also included an editorial opposing a Florida law that bans some lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity and dubbed by critics as “Don’t Say Gay.”

Officials overseeing the district, which is based in Grand Island, have not said when or why the decision was made to eliminate the student paper. But an email from a school employee to the Independent cancelling the student paper’s printing services on May 22 said it was “because the school board and superintendent are unhappy with the last issue’s editorial content.”

The paper’s demise also came a month after its staff was reprimanded for publishing students’ preferred pronouns and names. District officials told students they could only use names assigned at birth going forward.

Yay for cancel culture!
