Basic Beliefs
Just don't knock on my door on a Saturday Morning
the citizenship status of my cousins, their children, and grandchildren are all in question.
There are some words then, that you must never utter including
mushroom,
Epstein,
stormy,
insurrection,
pee tape,
transgender,
climate …
There are many more and you’d best look them up, Ford. We’d hate to lose you.

Lost in all of this back and forth about the Epstein kerfuffle is that a couple years ago, the right/QAnon/MAGA world was falling all over themselves to promote a movie called "The Sound of Freedom."

Right wing outfits bought out entire theaters to pump ticket sales. Family members and friends insisted on social media that "you just HAVE to see this movie!"

When investigative journalists dug a tiny bit deeper, it turned out that maybe it wasn't a noble crusade to bust up child sex trafficking rings, and straight away any attempt to bring into question the basis for the movie was labeled as somehow justifying pedophilia. "How DARE you criticize this movie?! What are you...some sort of pedo?"

We're two years past that, and the Attorney General of the United States is claiming "nope, there was no Epstein files" and the President of the United States is like "why are you still talking about this guy?"

It's mind-boggling. In addition to my association with "illegal immigrants" like Grandpa, in my life I've met some some people who spent a good amount of their lives in prison. It's no secret that if you want to spend the rest of your life isolated from the general population lest you be killed, all you need to do is be accused of sexually abusing a child. The first convict I met said "baby rapers, man." That's the red line you can't cross.

Apparently, a good percentage of the senior leadership at DOJ - and maybe even the President himself - are the sort of people who wouldn't last a week in the general population of a prison.

As much as Donald Trump and his Administration would like people to move on from Jeffrey Epstein, fixation with the convicted sex offender and accused sex trafficker just won’t seem to go away, especially among the President’s own base.

Trisha Hope, a former diehard Trump supporter, posted on X that she was “done” with the President. His “lack of concern for the Epstein victims and his callus response” to a reporter’s question about it, “ends my relationship with him,” she said on July 8. “I will not support a man who denies justice to the victims who in this case are children and mocks the question.”

Trump had responded incredulously after a reporter asked about a memo the Justice Department released earlier this month that asserted a much-anticipated “client list” did not exist and there would be no more disclosures related to the case.

Since the memo’s release, Hope’s dejection has been a familiar feeling among many in Trump’s MAGA base, which had long promoted conspiracy theories that Democrats and other powerful elites were suppressing incriminating evidence to do with Epstein, who died while detained in federal jail in 2019, only to be faced with the uncomfortable sense that Trump and his officials may now be doing the same.

Based on several articles I've read, I think it's possible the Epstein files just might help end the MAGA cult. One can only hope. No doubt the felon is on the list. We know he's a rapist and let's not forget how he acted in the past, as if he would love to have sex with his own daughter, if she wasn't his daughter of course. There is usually something that breaks up a cult and this could be the thing, since it's starting to turn away cult members like nothing has so far.

But wait.....there's more.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...-backlash-from-his-own-supporters/ar-AA1IkZgZ

MAGA loyalists are calling for the burning of the iconic MAGA cap as anger over the Epstein Files grows, even among Donald Trump's own supporter base.

The Justice Department claimed on Monday that Jeffrey Epstein did not maintain a “client list" and said no more files related to the wealthy financier’s sex trafficking investigation would be made public. This was despite promises from Attorney General Pam Bondi that had raised the expectations of conservative influencers and conspiracy theorists.

It's about time the MAGAs woke up. Burn baby burn those fucking MAGA hats!

I must make sure my name has been removed on my copy of Espstein's list.

Anybody want me to check that their name has been removed?

It's a pickle. You come to power by fanning the flames of conspiracy theories. What now?

Suppose it is total bullshit like chemtrails and you have chemmies blowing up your phones because the contrails are still happening and floods of the type that you were blaming on "weather control" are still happening. You get your EPA head to declare transparency where chemtrails are debunked. Then Marjorie Greene and RFKJr get to cheer because the government finally admitted to chemtrails even though it didn't. You're kind of screwed really because the contrails are going to keep happening and the storms are going to keep happening and you've mainstreamed some really crackpot shit.

Then you have things like this Epstein list. You beat that fucking drum for a lot of years. Now you have to put up or shut up. The true Q believers want the twoof. If you have the list and aren't providing it then you are really participating in a coverup. If you've been lying and engaging in libel and slander all these years then you have no list and you are really fucked because you convinced the true believers that there is a list.

I keep hoping this shit will bite them. But the charlatans always figure out a way to stay in business. Peter Popoff's and Uri Gellar's scams outlived James Randi. Guys that helped promote Uri Gellar's scam are now advising congress on UFOs.... Not much hope is there?

I've excerpted form an Alternet opinion with focus on last month's podcast interview of Michael Wolff, award-winning Trump biographer.
...
The most sedulous and servile Trump supporters in the right-wing media complex, from Jack Posobiec and Laura Loomer to Steve Bannon and Tucker Carlson, are castigating not just Bondi but the Trump administration. The far-right provocateur Mike Cernovich posted a direct blast at the president on X: "No one is believing the Epstein coverup, @realDonaldTrump. This will be part of your legacy. There's still time to change it!" On Bannon's livestream show, he taunted Posobiec as a "sap" for ever believing that Trump would release the Epstein files.
... But if you listen to Michael Wolff, the bestselling Trump biographer and National Magazine Award-winning writer, there is far more to their relationship than a few words and images.

Wolff knows Trump well and knew Epstein very well -- and what he has to say about them points in a very troubling direction. Last month he discussed both subjects and their connections on "The Court of History," a MeidasTouch podcast hosted by journalist Sidney Blumenthal and historian Sean Wilentz.

While Trump has repeatedly tried to minimize his ties to Epstein, whom he now calls a "creep," Wolff said "Epstein and Trump had been the best of friends for almost 15 years. ... They were instrumental in each other's rise." The pair "hunted women together," according to Wolff, but fell out, as very rich men do, over real estate. Trump went behind Epstein's back to outbid him on a Palm Beach property that both coveted. Epstein believed that Trump was actually laundering money for a Russian oligarch and threatened to expose him. And then, according to Wolff's recollection of what Epstein told him, Trump "dropped a dime" on his friend's trafficking of young girls to the Palm Beach Police Department. (Which, as Wolff notes, indicates that Trump had long known of the crimes perpetrated at Epstein's house.)

By the time of Trump's ascent to the presidency, Epstein was ready to "drop a dime" of his own. Wolff told Blumenthal and Wilentz how, after Trump's election in 2016, "I was sitting talking to Epstein and he said, 'Wait a minute, I've gotta show you something.'" According to Wolff, Epstein "went into his safe, and he came out with photographs. They were Polaroids, I think, and he kind of spread them out like playing cards. ... It was Trump with girls of an uncertain age, at Epstein's Palm Beach house, where all of the things that (Epstein) would ultimately be accused of took place." He places the date of those pictures around 1999 or 2000.

"And I remember very vividly three of them," Wolff continued. "There are two in which the girls, topless girls, are sitting on Trump's lap. And then a third in which he has a stain on the front of his pants, and the girls are kind of pointing at it, sort of bent over, laughing ... three or four girls." Wolff also said he assumes those photographs were in Epstein's safe when the FBI raided his house and seized every item of potential evidence.

The crimes and coverup demand a Congressional investigation -- and perhaps this time, Democrats and a few courageous Republicans will dare to demand the truth from Trump.

Unfortunately, some of Trump's toadies in high places are saying we need to move on from the Epstein files. I just got back from doing some errands, so I'll have to check and see what the latest news is on this story. I have never had any doubt that Trump was part of Epstein's cringy list or that he wasn't raping young women, and/or girls. About 20 women charged him with sexual assault but the cult didn't want to hear that. Trump was right when he said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and get away with it.

Now we need the senate to pass by a wide enough margin Trump cannot veto it.

This will be a huge test of senate Republicans.

I'm confused because the article I linked says that the Republicans in the House blocked the files from being released. Do you have information that contradicts that?

House Republicans have blocked a Democratic lawmaker’s push to force the Trump administration to release the “FULL” Jeffrey Epstein files.

Seizing on growing MAGA infighting, California Representative Ro Khanna introduced an amendment to the GENIUS Act on Monday, calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to compile and release all Epstein records within 30 days.

Late Monday evening, the House Rules Committee voted 7–5 to block the proposal from reaching the lower chamber.

No way. This one deserves the Full Benghazi. No faithful follower of the MAGA movement should let this one go. Push for impeachment if necessary.

Unfortunately, they just said on MSNBC that the Republicans have blocked the release of the files. The only positive is that the Dems are using this to bash Trump and his toadies, by asking they what is that they have to. hide. It's true that we don't know exactly what is in these files, but it does appear as if Trump is trying to hide the truth.

I just hope the little people in the cult will continue to wake up and realize they've been taken in by a psychopathic criminal who doesn't give a shit about them.

Now Trump is saying that the Epstein files were made up by Comet and Biden. Do people really believe this shit?

And, have any of you read that Trump is insisting that Texas gerrymander five districts so they will be red? WTF! This man really could get away with murder! He's also saying they need to look at some other states that can be redistricted to make them red. What a horror show this is.

OMG! Is MTG really turning on Trump? Could this be true? This news is worth gifting an article. Is it possible that MTG has a bit of a brain? Plus, I saw on the news, that Josh Harley is asking to have the bill that he just voted for repealed. Why the fuck did you vote for it, knowing it was a terrible bill? You can't make this shit up?

"Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, the right-wing Georgia Republican who first discovered politics by way of the QAnon conspiracy theory, has always been one of President Trump’s most ardent acolytes in Congress.

But these days, she is finding plenty to criticize about her “favorite president,” particularly his turnabout on revealing a complete accounting of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

“It’s a full reversal on what was all said beforehand, and people are just not willing to accept it,” Ms. Greene said in an interview, after the Justice Department said no further disclosures would be “appropriate or warranted” when it came to the disgraced financier who died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.

It was the latest flash of frustration within Mr. Trump’s hard-right faction on Capitol Hill. After a six-month honeymoon in which a fractious Republican Party has remained mostly united by unblinking allegiance to the president, there are now signs of a potential fraying of Mr. Trump’s political coalition."

In the past few weeks, Ms. Greene and other right-wing Republicans have criticized the administration’s bellicose stance on Iran, the president’s reversal on supporting Ukraine in its war against Russia and the Justice Department’s pivot on the Epstein matter. They have suggested that on each issue, Mr. Trump has betrayed the voters who elected him.

“I don’t accept it, and I don’t think anyone else should accept it,” Ms. Greene said of the decision not to release more information about Mr. Epstein. “I just think that it’s a punch in the gut when regular people go to jail all the time, when they mess up and do something wrong, and then it always seems the rich, powerful elites escape.”

After Trump learned that Clinton had gotten Jeffrey killed in his cell, his first reaction was "There go my frequent flyer miles!"
No faithful follower of the MAGA movement should let this one go.
Do you think a lot of MAGAts actually believe Trump barely knew Epstein, never flew on his plane to Rape Island and knew nothing about it?
I'm really flabbergasted that they're even acting like they believe such absurdity.
Do they just want to set a bonfire to watch Him walk through it unscathed?

The 6 Republicans on the Rules Committee just voted to block the release of the Epstein files.
