Prosecutors obtained the warrant as part of an investigation into whether Mr. Giuliani broke lobbying laws as President Trump’s personal lawyer.

Federal investigators in Manhattan executed a search warrant on Wednesday at the Upper East Side apartment of Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who became President Donald J. Trump’s personal lawyer, stepping up a criminal investigation into Mr. Giuliani’s dealings in Ukraine, three people with knowledge of the matter said.

One of the people said the investigators had seized Mr. Giuliani’s electronic devices.

Executing a search warrant is an extraordinary move for prosecutors to take against a lawyer, let alone a lawyer for a former president, and it marks a major turning point in the long-running investigation into Mr. Giuliani.

The federal authorities have been largely focused on whether Mr. Giuliani illegally lobbied the Trump administration in 2019 on behalf of Ukrainian officials and oligarchs, who at the same time were helping Mr. Giuliani search for dirt on Mr. Trump’s political rivals, including President Biden, who was then a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Being Trump's lawyer is his low point.

He was once an effective mayor.

He should at least be disbarred for his promotion of lies for Trump after the election in the courts.
 
Giuliani could have a strong case for not being mentally fit to stand trial.

Your honor, he held a press conference at a landscaping company to talk about "election fraud" without ever presenting evidence.
 
Just heard that Rudy's Park Avenue office was raided at the same time as his apartment.

No worries.
The corrupt Trump DOJ gave him warning a looong time ago, and forestalled warrants that were requested at the time.
By now, Rudi has his ass so covered it will be years before he has to turn himself in, if ever.

But yeah ... claiming that no reasonable person could ever be expected to believe in culpability, given the insane shit said or done by Republicans, seems to be the most enduring defensive position they have adopted.

He routinely butt-dials unintended people. I'm just surprised his dripping hair dye didn't long ago short out his computer.
 
Good news, hope he can join these two guys in prison. I don't even care if Biden is just on the other side of this mafia war, having someone like Giuliani getting searched is a good precedent.

No, that's not true at all. It just means that the home she is in was not raided by the FBI. The raid in context that her home did not see is the raid Guiltiani did have.

It only is available for your soft-tone interpretation if we are not aware of some other home that was, specifically, raided.
