What's to comment on exactly? That some people in our government are poorly informed or are somehow unsuited for their position? No shit, Sherlock.

Yes, that. Plus some of them senile, plus not some but a lot of them.

OK, I will remove the video, and do as instructed.

Yes, Russia is aggressive, but I wonder why a Putin fanboi would say that. And, what's this stuff about Limpopo?
First, I am not a fan of Putin and you know that, I just don't think it's smart on US media and government part to blame Putin for every damn thing. To ordinary russians It makes you look like total retards whose opinion should be ignored.

And Limpopo is not a country but a place in Russian children's book. It's an actual river in Africa too.

I don't think you understand that he still hasn't watched the videos (and neither have I) because you haven't given us any reason to watch them. This website isn't about watching videos, it is about discussions. You can use a video to support an argument but you should post an actual argument and give some sort of indication of what the video contains. Go see the America Primero thread for more on this.

As for your frustration with the stupidity of American politicians and media, you need to understand that the US is not Russia. We don't have a mighty leader dictating the messages and propaganda that each and every media outlet must broadcast. As a result, some stupid shit is going to get broadcast sometimes. Get over it.

That is what freedom looks like. It's chaotic, ugly, beautiful, and powerful all at the same time.

If you want uniformity of action and message, look elsewhere.

Also, learn to stop broadbrushing vast populations and conserve your criticism for the individuals who deserve it.

OK, american politicians are stupid and uninformed, easily made to believe any pranks as long as it is consistent with narrative which currently prevails and parroted in the media. Media is not much better. This state of the affairs makes US foreign policy with regards to Russia highly ineffective, in fact it has the opposite effect. I mean russian internal "propaganda" shows some american idiot politician and then say "see! you think this guy should be taken seriously?"
All these big mouth idiots in congress are paid big bucks, for what exactly? Can they at least educate themselves a little before giving these speeches?

Why does Russian propagana even care about what some American no-name congressman says or does? How often do you see American media making a big deal out of, say, Vladimir Zhirinovsky? Let alone some lesser politicians.

I have no doubt that Russians as well as most other countries have their own clowns in elected positions. Only differences are as to how likely they are elected democratically rather than appointed, and the extent which the local media is allowed to cover them.

Well, TV critters have nothing else to do, freedom of the press does not extend to criticizing ruling party :)

There are not that many, and they are pretty quiet. Politics in Russia is very boring.

I want to go to Limpopo, it sounds fabulous.

Yes, Russia invaded Afghanistan

Well, that was back in 1979, and Putin was just a low level KGB agent then, so I don't really think that is what barbos was talking about when he accused Russia of being aggressive.

As for wiping out the natives, Native Siberians were no more 'Indians' than Native Americans were, but the results of genocide are much the same whatever names you call the natives. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_conquest_of_Siberia

Of course, it seems unlikely that Will Wiley really has any beef with the Stroganovs, or the Tsars. Just a lack of knowledge about history, tempered with a strong bias against the USA, who while far from blameless, are hardly the only nation past or present with an aggressive foreign policy.

The fact is that US aggression occurs because there is nobody big enough to stop the US from doing whatever she pleases; But the flip-side of that is that the power of the US likely prevents many other nations from pursuing an even more aggressive agenda - If the US had a strictly isolationist policy, the net effect on the rest of the world would likely be more violence, not less. Of course, that's far to nuanced for some people to grasp - Thinking is hard; Blaming America is easy (particularly as much of that blame is justified).
