Forgery suspect killed by cop restricting his airway

Just now somebody on CNN was demanding death penalty for all four of the officers. The CNN anchor (Chris Cuomo) did not challenge him on how insane and without legal merit that demand was.
Now that hearse chaser Crump is bloviating.

Demanding they be given the death penalty, or demanding they be brought up on charges with the possibility of being given the death penalty if found guilty?

Who the fuck cares what someone says on CNN? And how is that any worse than the kneejerk defenders of this instance of police brutality?

Well, they have a sizable audience and they (esp. Don Lemon) are pushing the "police are racist murderer" narrative hard.

I have not seen any "kneejerk defenders of police brutality".

Definitely the former. It is par for the course for #BLMers for whom "justice" is to punish police no matter the facts or evidence.
But even if it were the latter, it's not warranted.
1. Minnesota doesn't even have the death penalty.
2. There is no evidence of intent, much less premeditation.

CNN? They have less than 2 million viewers per day as of April 2020 and 580,000 per day during primetime which was the best month in 10 years (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/cable-news-sets-ratings-records-april-1292329

These 4 officers were fired because one violated policy with his knee to the neck, and the 3 others were fired because they failed to stop an officer using excessive force. But you complain about their firings as unjust. Then you nitpick about what "I cannot breathe" means and make sure to inject an arrest from other 12 years ago to smear the victim while keeping silent about excessive force allegations against those police.

Apparently you do not bother to read your own posts.

It was the brother of George Floyd, there was no sensible way for Chris Cuomo to challenge even if he wanted to.

Minneapolis police needs to be allowed to take the damn gloves off and crack some rioter heads.

Protesters set Minneapolis police station afire in reaction to black man’s death

Star Tribune said:
Cheering protesters broke into a Minneapolis police precinct station on Thursday after the department abandoned it, setting it ablaze and setting off fireworks as three days of violent protests spread to nearby St. Paul and angry demonstrations flared across the U.S over the death of George Floyd, a handcuffed black man.

There needs to be a much heavier hand then police has been showing so far. The inmates are running the asylum right now. It's embarrassing to the city and the state. If this keeps going on any longer, I would not be surprised if Trump carries Minnesota.

Of course there is a way to tell that idiot that
- there is presumption of innocence in courts of law
- there is zero evidence of premeditation
- Minnesota abolished the death penalty anyway.

I mean, that's no Bachelor, but it's still a sizable crowd. :)

Firing them before any administrative due process was complete is unjust. These are union employees, there are rules about disciplinary procedure that should have been followed instead of aacquiescing to political pressure.

Him committing armed robbery 14 years ago is more relevant than the fact that one of these cops shot a perp pointing a shotgun (after stabbing two people) 14 years ago. And yet media is making a lot of hay out of the latter (even attacking Klob for not prosecuting this completely justified shooting) and largely ignore the former.

Providing a little bit of balance as well as context on the criminal background of the deceased is not "kneejerk defending of police brutality".

They've managed to escalate things far too much already. The police and the National Guard need to practice de-escalation which is not firing into crowds or using tear gas.

Meanwhile in Kentucky ...

LMPD: 7 people shot, 1 'critical' during protest in downtown Louisville demanding justice for Breonna Taylor

WDRB said:
Seven people were shot Thursday night in downtown Louisville during a protest to demand justice for the shooting death of Louisville resident Breonna Taylor during a March police raid, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. One person who was shot is in "critical" condition, police said. All of the shooting victims are civilians, according to LMPD.
[...]
Shots were fired around 11:30 p.m. Thursday as hundreds of people gathered on Jefferson Street, near Metro Hall and the Hall of Justice. LMPD has not said who fired the shots.

Shit is really hitting the fan!

The police action of kneeling on the neck of someone who is handcuffed and on the ground and pleading for breath is inexcusable, as is the looting by protestors in reaction. There are better ways to protest.

It is the rioters who escalated things. Police have not been too hard on them, they've been way too soft!

I was predicting something like this would happen when Minneapolis police kept playing softball with #BLMers blocking interstates (on several occasions!) and occupying a (different) police precinct for weeks over the death of Jamar Clark. Remember that shit show? Had police responded more forcefully then, rioters would not be feeling emboldened to escalate now.

That's not sensible.

Fuck, I do not want Trump reelected. But if the Governor and Mayor stay bleeding heart soft this could help Trump.

Can a president pull rank and make the National Guard be active on the streets of the Twin Cities?

Did Ike go over the Arkansas governor's head for the Little Rock Nine?

Just learned from a friend in the city: Videos of people dressed in black, wearing respirator type masks, etc. are white men from out of state/Portland, OR (or at least one) proud boys. So, outside agitators are at least adding to the destruction deliberately.

Trump is threatening to send in the military so conspiracy theorist that I am, I figure it's his crew that's sending in the outside agitators....

Sounds indeed like conspiracy theories.
