Forgery suspect killed by cop restricting his airway

The police action of kneeling on the neck of someone who is handcuffed and on the ground and pleading for breath is inexcusable, as is the looting by protestors in reaction. There are better ways to protest.

Just learned from a friend in the city: Videos of people dressed in black, wearing respirator type masks, etc. are white men from out of state/Portland, OR (or at least one) proud boys. So, outside agitators are at least adding to the destruction deliberately.
Uh, close one, I thought you were going to say they were Russians.

You may think of the mayor and governor as cucks, but they have achieved very high social status among their like minded peers because of their performative ideological positions. They have power by blaming white people excessively and self flagellating.

If they were to do the sensible thing and get very serious against looters and rioters it would be off brand.

Firing them before any administrative due process was complete is unjust. These are union employees, there are rules about disciplinary procedure that should have been followed instead of aacquiescing to political pressure.
Most union contract allow for dismissal due based on "just cause". If the employee or union objects, there is an administrative grievance process which usually allows for an arbitration as the last step. So, unless you can show some contractual language from the Minneapolis police union contract showing otherwise, you are mistaken.

Him committing armed robbery 14 years ago is more relevant than the fact that one of these cops shot a perp pointing a shotgun (after stabbing two people) 14 years ago. And yet media is making a lot of hay out of the latter (even attacking Klob for not prosecuting this completely justified shooting) and largely ignore the former.
"Whatboutism" is not an argument. One of the officers allegedly kicked and beat a suspect.
Providing a little bit of balance as well as context on the criminal background of the deceased is not "kneejerk defending of police brutality".
It is when the background is irrelevant, and when you do not provide the context on the background of the police officers involved.

They've managed to escalate things far too much already. The police and the National Guard need to practice de-escalation which is not firing into crowds or using tear gas.
It is the rioters who escalated things. Police have not been too hard on them, they've been way too soft!

I was predicting something like this would happen when Minneapolis police kept playing softball with #BLMers blocking interstates (on several occasions!) and occupying a (different) police precinct for weeks over the death of Jamar Clark. Remember that shit show? Had police responded more forcefully then, rioters would not be feeling emboldened to escalate now.
As history has shown, more repression and state violence against its citizenry always leads to a more orderly, stable and well-adjusted citizenry.

Obviously, you are completely unfamiliar with Minnesota.

I have a number of long time friends who live in Minneapolis. One of them actually witnessed the guy with the umbrella smashing windows. This is someone I trust to be a truthful reporter.

It was a joke, no need to start another altercation.

I wasn't trying to start an altercation. Apologies if you thought I was.

There is evidence this person is a St. Paul police officer.

I’ve heard that. I’ve also heard it was someone from out of the area. The person moved with discipline and purpose, not out of control at all.

Rumors that Proud Boys from Oregon are also vandalizing.

Just becsuse he was white and moved with "discipline and purpose" does not mean he wasn't local and it certainly doesn't mean he wasn't an antifa or otherwise a #BLM supporter.

Yeah, good chance he was.

Should look into his social and financial connection to that store. Maybe owner wanted out of a beautiful diversifying area and just needed insurance. Was he doing his buddy a favor? Getting a head start on the broken windows would help.

This cop looks extremely similar in visible facial structure to the gas mask vandal.
