Fraud in Minnesomalia

I read Toni’s point is that the fraud is inexcusable but understandable.
Why should ANY large-scale fraud be considered "understandable"?
No one said anything about any fraud, so your question seems pointless.

From a fraud prevention standpoint, understanding a fraud may make it easier to prevent.

Trump is definitely racist in dredging up the fraud committed several years ago, discovered by Minnesota and given to the FBI years ago as though it were cure t and ongoing
It has been current and ongoing though.
Nope.
So the Nick Shirley fraud expose video is totally without merit? The hell you say,,,
Total bullshit by a YouTuber chasing likes from bad Daddy Trump and fame, etc. he showed up after hours filming closed centers, claiming they were fraudulent. He failed to gain access to day cares that were open because the general public cannot just walk into a daycare center at will and film. Something something about safety of young children, privacy. Not that Trump gives a shot about that nor anyone does who is on his ‘team.’

I believe Millrat was being sarcastic.

Ah, I’m sure you’re right.

Sorry, Millrat!

Trump team accused of ‘largest fraud’ in immigration history by taking $1 billion in fees from migrants

The Trump administration is allegedly carrying out a more than $1 billion scam on immigrants, the “largest fraud in the history of the U.S. immigration system,” according to a new analysis.

The Cato Institute study alleges that a combination of Trump administration policies, including freezing visa and status applications for citizens of 92 countries, has resulted in the government collecting more than $1 billion in fees for immigration petitions it never plans to finalize.

In order to charge someone money, you have to provide a good or service. You can't go into a coffee shop, hand them $10 for a latte and then have them keep the money without giving you the latte or a refund.

I don't believe a stand up guy like Trump would involve himself in such a scheme.

Back of napkin calculation: there are 50 states and Minnesota is average population size, so about 2% of $1B of Trump's fraud happened there. A little more refinement: Minnesota is 1.7% of the population of the US but this is more than $1B total. So, 2% is still a fair approximation. That puts Trump's fraud in Minnesota at about $20M. Is the problem that he hasn't assimilated to our culture or that he is in the thick of it?

Embracing the thick of it!

The Midwest mother who masterminded the roughly $250 million Somali-linked fraud in Minnesota was sentenced to more than 41 years in prison on Thursday morning. Aimee Bock, 45, was convicted last March of multiple counts involving conspiracy, wire fraud and bribery for her role in the Feeding Our Future scam, which prosecutors called the country's largest COVID-era fraud.

Daily Mail

That's a pretty heavy sentence.
