There's also the political situation. When Jordan took the West Bank they ethnically cleansed it from Jews. Since Israel is the only country in the Middle-East with a history of not ethnically cleansing anything, or arguing for ethnic cleansing, I think it's a good idea to keep them in charge of the west bank. And they did respect Arab rights after taking it. When Israel took back the West Bank they left the Arabs alone. Not only did they leave them alone, but they included them into legal protections, they'd never before enjoyed.
So there's every reason to support Israel continuing to rule the west bank.
The Arab arguments against Israeli rule habitually ignore how horrific Arab rulers have been, over their own people. The Nakhba is mostly nonsense. Israel is always held to standards that Arabs do not hold Arab rulers to. It's just the silliest tribal arguments. Hatred against Jews just to hate Jews.
I would have thought that pulling out of Gaza was a concession from Israel.
There's no point making concessions to an opponent who doesn't care. There's no negotiation or agreement the Palestinians will agree to that isn't ethnic cleansing of all Jews from "the holy land".
Israel has already proven to be extremely good and fair stewards of the holy land. The Palestinian complaints is just pathetic whines about nothing.
And Palestinians know this. They think differently than Europeans. For them its just tribal. Whatever Jews does is bad, unless they submit to Muslim rule. There's no arguments or concepts of living peacefully together. Palestinians aren't stupid. Its just a question of different values.
First I think the Palestinians need to show some willingness to live in peace with Jews. Until then it would be suicidal for Israel to pull out.
Palestinians can have self rule. But I doubt they'll be allowed to have their own army in the future. Which is better for everyone
