Some are saying Bonespurs was having chest pains, some saying he's doing this to set up a resignation for medical reasons. Nothing in the mainstream media except to say this was all routine even though it's three months early and on a Saturday.

I don't know what to think except to say rumours are flying.

Also, here's my take. His regular physical probably includes checking his heart. It could be true that he thought he might have palpitations, contacted his doctor, and the doctor was like, "it's almost time for your annual physical. Why not come in and we'll check your heart early?"

Trump came out of it saying it's just part 1 of the physical....which he does in January.

Yeah, I keep seeing the Heavy link being passed around. I've never bothered to look at it because I want something from a more mainstream source.

It's still highly unusual, two months early and especially doing so on a Saturday when the cardiac specialists would all be home on call.

Trump is at moderate risk for heart disease or stroke according to a doctor that analyzed his risk factors this morning on the left wing propaganda station that I watch. :D His cholesterol has increased as well as his weight, and somehow he has gained two inches of height over the past few years. :glare: But, let's be. honest. Many former president have lied about their health issues, from FDR to Kennedy to name two that come to mind. But, all you have to do is look at Trump, his weight, his diet, his total lack of physical activity and how easily he loses his temper, to know that he's at risk for serious cardiac diseases.

Spot on! He says he loves the stress and the action but he's headed for a coronary. One person said he has "incredible genes." I took that to mean that based on his lifestyle choices he should have been dead years ago, not that he's healthy. If he tried to hurry up steps he'd probably crumble in a heap.

Maybe it's because Trump has 2x the surface area of a normal human?
Maybe even 3x, before wrinkle cream.

My understanding is that the White House is well equipped to do EKGs and other similar tests and evaluations on the dime.

Might have needed to get Rep. Jordan or Rep. Nunes removed from his rear.

Many former president have lied about their health issues, from FDR to Kennedy to name two that come to mind.
But how many of them made their opponents' health a campaign issue? Most have been at least self-aware enough to not throw stones in the glasshouse.

Trump is obviously mentally ill, and the other presidents I mentioned weren't. Trump projects his issues on anyone who he doesn't like or who doesn't support him. It's not his cardiac issues we should be discussing. It's his mental problems that have lead to his strange behavior, including the way he attacks others.

It's hard to believe that the Republicans in Congress don't realize that the man is mentally unfit for the job. It's also said that behind closed doors they talk about how dangerous and incompetent he is, but they never have the courage to bring these concerns out into the open. You would at least think that those who are retiring from office, would have the courage to say what they really think.

What leads you to believe they don't know he is unfit? Of course they know, but they have to protect their phony baloney jobs. What could be better than collecting good salaries and benefits plus whatever grift and graft they can manage while sitting on their butts complaining about Democrats, and never having to think about any of the 300+ bills sitting on Moscow Mitch's desk? If you can say "hoax" and "witch hunt", you have the necessary job skills and a good chance for re-election in most red States and districts.

My guess is this is setting up a hail mary "I must resign for health reasons" backup plan in case the impeachment keeps going as it already is.

Why you just can't trust the White House on Donald Trump's health

Glad it mentions this choice lie

"His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary," Bornstein wrote of Trump. "If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."

If it seemed like Trump had written the letter himself, it's because he had! Bornstein told CNN in 2018 that Trump "dictated that whole letter. I didn't write that letter. I just made it up as I went along."

Bottom line is that the White House and Trump have zero credibility. They burned up an credibility a long time.

I do think they know he's unfit. Either that, or they are totally brainwashed by his cult like leadership. It's sort of like evangelical Christians being easily manipulated by a charismatic preacher. Having been forced to attend the Billy Graham Crusades in New York City as a young child, I am very aware of how people can be easily manipulated by a cult leader.

Most of the Republicans in Congress don't need the money. They are either already wealthy or they have been there long enough to get those generous pensions and health care benefits. So, it's probably more about holding onto power. Too, there are some who only care about things like getting more conservative judges appointed, or keeping the tax rates on the upper crust low. They just don't care if Trump is unfit as long as they get what they want.

They've done a good job of making a lot of people that the Democrats haven't done anything. There hasn't been enough attention regarding the bills that the House has passed but Moscow Mitch has refused to bring up for a vote. He acts as if those bills don't exist. It's crazy.

Having seen your posts I am reminded that while it might be difficult, truly good people very often overcome whatever dogma they were force-fed as a child. :)

Agreed. In some more benign cases it's just flexing a money-grubbing muscle. When I first met the venture capital partners (each worth hundreds of millions or more) who ended up buying our Company, I had a conversation over a meal with one of them, and asked how much money would make him stop trying to make money. He explained to me that it was no longer about money after he had made more than he would ever spend and more than enough to provide for his offspring and their families. Money was just a symbol that validated his efforts, and made him feel like he had added value to something. I wasn't honest enough to confront him with the fact that while the value of X that he had purchased might be made worth 2X to someone else, the "value added" was a product of people's pain who were making minimum wage or little more. (They operated out of NC, while we were in an area of Colorado where nobody works those kinds of jobs for less than about 2x minimum wage.)

There hasn't been enough attention regarding the bills that the House has passed but Moscow Mitch has refused to bring up for a vote. He acts as if those bills don't exist. It's crazy.

Yes, it's a travesty that so many people need to know nothing more than "it's a Democrat bill" to make it okay for Moscow Mitch to sit on it.

That was before the election. It was the White House's doctors' overly optimistic view on Trump's health in 2018 ("excellent" health) that indicated the Executive Branch under Trump couldn't be trusted to provide any details to the American people.
