Edit: fun fact. Four of my long term girlfriends have or do live in lesbian relationships. I don't know what that says about me. Its not that I convert anyone either. My first proper girlfriend left me for a woman. She hasn't looked back. Or perhaps is a 30 year long phase.

If you exclsuively date lesbians but argue against LGBTQ rights, I'd say that makes you a hypocritical asshole.

In the post you are responding to I wrote this

I am asking you in plain English what you are advocating for and against, and you refuse to make it clear. Just like when you posted a "thread" with an offensive title but no content except a dubious Youtube video, refused to elaborate, and screamed at everyone for misinterpreting you. If you get angry at the mere concept of clearly communicating your ideas, don't be surprised if people "misinterpret" you. You have given us nothing to interpret but inference and insults.

What I wrote is how it has changed in Scandinavia. I am not a woman and not lesbian. So I can only report what my girlfriend tells me.

I never said I exclusively date lesbians. You just made that up.

What's offensive about the title?

The video isn't a science report. Its gays speculating on why they might sound like they do. Who could possibly be offended by that?

If you are in a social situation and somebody is making racist, slurs say something.

The problem over here it has been carrying it to an extreme in some cases. Witch hunts.

Trump does not want historical racism presented in the Smithsonian and other government institutions.
It bothers conservatives because it prevents them from dismissing historical and current issues.

As I have always thought and said LGBTQ+ undoubtedly have all the ills of heteros. It just says they are all as human as anyone else. As Jay Leno said, sure let gays marry and they can be as miserable as everybody else.

Who am I to tell lesbians what is what for them? If there is bickering in the lesbian community, so what. Happens in all groups.

Gays can call themselves whatever they please. Over here LGBTQ+ is the politically correct term. I say gay which in context can be incisive. I have no idea how different groups in the gay community relate to each other.

I would project that in fact arguing against woke implies favoring sleep. And favoring sheep as well, if everyone else is also arguing against woke. The catch? I need some sleep before I want to be awakened.

Intersex is a general term used for people born with reproductive or sexual anatomy, chromosomes, or hormones that do not fit the typical definitions of male or female. These traits can be visible at birth, show up later at puberty, or remain completely unknown to the person.

As I said I have had a few gay friends over the years but I have never been inside the gay community. You say you are immersed in it.

Educate me, I am all ears.

Woke is a demand that everyone must accept the latest and most extreme liberal fad on what opinions to hold, otherwise they're branded as fascists (ie a despicable and evil person).

Woke kills all debate. It kills all nuance. It creates group think.

The most insidious part of woke is that it doesn't even allow the questioning of liberal opinion by liberals. That's the death of thought. That's bad for everyone, including liberals. Free discussion is necessary or we all go dumb.

On a discussion forum, we at least, need to be freely able to discuss things.

I'm in the liberal community and I found the woke trend alarming. It turned normal people into extremists.

The peak was 2016. Now things are back to normal. I like it.

I haven't expressed my opinion on it. Well... I did say it was fine. I guess that's an opnion.

I think gays and queers etc should use whatever terms about themselves they think makes sense and is meaningful. Again... not really an opinion.

I think human sexuality is way way more complex. We rarely fit in neat little boxes

Now we're no longer together. She looked outwardly female, so that's how she presented. But technically, she was neither. Her reproductive organs were somewhere in between. The medical term for her specific condition was "unicorn".

Its just the people I hang out with. When I have a party at my place there's a lot of gays, non-binaries (etc) trans people. And so on. The queers.

I didn't do this on purpose. This is my tribe. Its the people I like to hang out with. And when I invite them they come, and they invite me to their parties.

I really don't overthink this stuff. I'm just happy and grateful when nice people I like also like me.

Just to hammer home the point. Because I don't conform to every stereotypical liberal opinion, the wokes of this forum keep demonising me, and putting me in the conservative camp. It doesn't really matter how liberal I am. Either I conform 100% or I am Satan. There's no room for nuance. That's woke logic.

There term “woke,” more or less in its modern context, dates to the 1920s. Even earlier than that, we had the “Wide Awakes,” supporters of Lincoln. I am an independent centrist and try to apply freethought, look at issues objectively without looking through any ideology. On the forum I am critical of both the left and right.

A fact of life is if you do not categorize yourself others will. Others will label you.

Over here the right calls the left communists, the left calls the right fascists/Nazis. Nothing new.

I live in one of the most liberal progressive woke cities in the USA, Seattle. In one of th most liberal states, Washington. People wise a great pace to live. Politically we tend to have narrow minded oideolopgical politicians with no idea of pragmatism. Our new mayor a democratic socialist was elected based on ideology, and she is now facing a potential recall election for her incompetence in handling a mass shooting.

Point being I am well aware of progressive liberal ideology and its downsides.
