How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

You've created a country that hates Russia.
Nope, you have created a region of Russia which hates US.
Yeah, Moscow Oblast.
:hysterical:
Poor babs… still trying to pretend that the Country to which they promised and signed a treaty guaranteeing autonomy and sovereignty, is not a country at all.
Pootey must think the rest of the world is also that stupid.

But the Russian invasion completely pushed Ukraine westward.
Says who?
Ukraine will never be in NATO.
The only chance at peace is for Ukraine to join Nato someday. Your country only attacks what it believes are weaker countries. If Ukraine were to sue for peace now, with no NATO membership, your country would just rearm and then attack again. There's no doubt about that. Putler's actions has forced Ukraine until a corner. Putler has strengthened NATO greatly. Большое спасибо!

Even without NATO, as long as the US has a president who's politics aren't out on the fringe and Ukraine can keep a decent man like Zelensky in office, Ukraine will rearm faster and continue to train up a professional fighting force while Russia will still struggle under sanctions. All the money it's government spends on it's military will continue to be siphoned off through corruption.

The people of Ukraine will no longer stand for a corrupt government. Russians will. They have been trained to do so by Putin to keep their heads down and not to question where tax dollars are going. All Russians want is whatever comforts their authoritarian government will afford them. For this they will keep their mouths shut.

Elensky fired all regional conscription officers, for corruption. All of them. I wonder if he let them keep their lamborghinis.

NATO agrees to give territory to Russia in exchange for NATO membership for the rest.
Well, I think it could work, NATO gets Western Nazistan and Russia gets the rest including Kiev.

Nah - Russia gets Moscow Oblast, Ukraine gets the territory it was guaranteed by treaty. The rest goes free, and can apply for NATO membership. Kaliningrad is absorbed by Lithuania.
In exchange for Russia's co-operation, Moscow will not be turned into a parking lot.

US does that. They thought they could win, that's why they attacked Russia.
Dude, if the US attacked Russia, the Russian military response wouldn't be limited to throwing drones and missiles at Ukraine. In fact, I'd figure had the US actually attacked Russia, the war would also have been already over by now with most of the first world smoldering.... and Russia too.

Thank god there is such invention as proxy war.

Sarkozi admitted that Crimea and Eastern Ukraine are and should stay Russia.
Which in itself makes NATO an aggressor here, which they are.

That's cute. He also said:
Addressing the Ukraine situation, Sarkozy argued that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “wrong” to “invade” the country and failed to achieve his objective, but that he’s “not irrational” and should be approached through diplomacy.
I'm sure he'd like to take part in those negotiations so he can make another 50 million Euros.
