How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

So when the order requests of these Indian companies significantly increased because they're supplying this whole other country no one on this end thought to wonder why. I guess wondering why wasn't part of their required due diligence. No "know your customer" requirement. It's all about the Benjamins.
Neighboring Russia countries such as Kazakhstan and Georgia have increased their orders of parts such as chips during sanctions. By orders of magnitude :D
But now, it's going to an end. Makes Nazi Lady of Brussels sad, very sad,

This is not good.

Trump is such a lying asshole claiming that Ukraine started the war. Putin will control Trump.
What do you want Trump to say? That US started the war? Well, Rubio kinda said that.
And yes, Ukrainian regime (installed by US) started civil war in 2014.
The Russians started the war in 2014. Deal with it.
Trump's bullshit is insane. Claiming that Z's a dictator who is responsible for the war, and then saying that Ukraine will have to give up a lot to get peace but Russia won't because Russians died for the lands they invaded. This is beyond bullshit. This will have serious consequences down the line for US national security. It could destroy NATO and Russia could then end up taking back the Baltic states as well. It could lead to a general breakdown in the international order. That in turn will cause markets to fail, including in the United States. That in turn will cause turmoil throughout the world that we will be forced to deal with eventually. This isolationist tendency is bizarre and utterly self destructive.

The other problem that this will cause is that it will embolden China to invade Taiwan. That too would have a hugely negative impact on our economy as TSMC might find its plant destroyed or at least shut down. The supply of chips would also disappear overnight. The markets, now buoyed by AI optimism, would utterly collapse. Trump is such a fool. They can't think beyond their fucking noses.

I think in the end we effectively become a vassal state to China/Russia combination. If you want oil or other strategic minerals, the US will have to tow the line on them. Let them run rough shod over the rest of the world and indeed ally with them instead of Europe. But we're the junior partner. And that's probably a best case scenario.

My mother was telling me about growing up in the 30's under the shadow of Hitler's rise. Despite living in rural Kentucky, she and her parents were well informed of world events and followed them closely. They were very much opposed to Hitler and the isolationism that pervaded America at the time. That seems to me what we've returned to. But the world was not so interconnected then. What happened in Germany didn't necessarily impact our economy. But what happens in China will today, and to a lesser extent Russia.

Is that the same Trump who's plan for Peace between the Israelis and the Gazans is a program of US military ethnic cleansing?
Yeah, I think it is.

Bullshit is what you have been told by MSM scum.
Elensky is absolutely corrupt drug addict dictator. But you are right, he did not start this war, US did.
And what the fuck is that BS about Russia giving up territories? First of all, that's the whole point of winning in the war, the winner dictates the term. Second, these territories are 100% russian, we merely took what is ours. Moreover, regime in Kiev specifically gave up on them when they said they wanted to get rid of soviet era heritage and everything russian. We are happy to oblige. Too bad that all of the Ukraine was created by ..... soviets :D
So nazis can pack their things and go to Canada to Yaroslav Hunka.

But Trump is protecting us from trannies, unchristians, and entitled brown people so it’s all good.

If you watch Fox News & Friends, they're saying it's a negotiating tactic so Zelenskyy will give "us" the resources.

I couldn't stomach watching Fox. So is Fox at least admitting that it was Russia that did start this war (and the last one)?

It could be a negotiating tactic. One of a corrupt bully and a gangster that might work for a while but long term would make the US just like Russia.

Babs can’t deal with anything. Before the invasion there was going to be no invasion then there was an invasion and babs couldn’t deal with that so Zelensky invaded Russia for a while, then it was Ukraine asked to be invaded then they didn’t then they did again then it was The West or the US but now the USApricot is Pootey’s best bud … babs is so tied in knots he doesn’t know whether to shit or go blind.
But he’s a good boy and will say whatever politburo says to say.

There is no interesting resources in Ukraine. Elensky created this REE fiction to fool Trump into continuing support.
Elensky thought that Trump was that dumb to buy into it. But Trump called his bluff and said "We already paid for you resources, so, sign the papers"

Trump seems to get most of his news from alt-right sources. The same sources Barbos seems to be reading. I don't think it's so much that Trump is insane, as just trusting the wrong sources. Alt-right opinions are basically just whatever gets the most signal boosting on Facebook. It's an algorithm driven method of forming opinions, based 100% on whatever gets the most attention. It makes sense that a guy who's only mission in life is to get as much attention as possible likes the opinions that gets the most attention.

I don't think Trump is insane. I think his problem is that he's an inane simpleton. An idiot.

It's over as far as the US is concerned. Trump will turn off the aid and either other countries step up to fill in the gap, Ukraine goes alone and probably loses, or they draw lines and stop.

Talking about it is interesting, but that's the reality.

That and we got our first look a small drone combat as a preview of next gen fighting. I might pick up a small drone with thermal and night vision, then learn how to run it on fiber optic, just because. Short recon use, learning drone signit, etc.

Going forward, if Ukraine cannot defend its civilian population from drone attacks, Zelensky will have to throw in the towel.
Alternatively, if willing EU countries can help out enough and Ukraine has a stockpile of their own, with the US no longer drawing the rules of engagement, Ukraine would be freed up to give Russia as good as its got.

First of all, Russia does not attack civilian population. Second of all, you don't get the "economics" of this war.
Elensky and his goons on all levels are profiting from stealing money you send to them. And even if Elensky suddenly gets some kind of conscience , he would not be able to stop it, he would be terminated by the people who are making money.
These people know that they are getting out of Ukraine to Western Europe with tons of euros/dollars.

I couldn't disagree more.

Attacks directed at civillian populations have always made surrender less likely.

There's been a belief, amongst Generals and politicians, at least since the Great War, that the opposite is true, but it has never yet been demonstrated to be the case.

The Zeppelin raids of the Great War hardened British resolve; The Blitz did the same, as did the RAF and USAAF bombings of German cities to the resolve of the German people. In Vietnam, US targetting of the South Vietnamese civilian population to "root out" the VC just made more of the VC, and in Gaza right now, the most effective Hamas recruitment campaign is the actions of the IDF.

You can't bomb people into liking you.

Ummm no... this is direction from the Kremlin.

You don't seem to get it... Putin owns Trump. We aren't certain why or how, but once Manafort got into the race in 2016, things changed. And Trump is beholden to Putin and Putin's interests.

The word is "compromised". His statements on Zelensky are just mind blowing in how unprecedented they are.

You are out of date, that is so first 3 to 6 months of the invasion.
Second of all, you don't get the "economics" of this war.
In cost per bullet or per person fighting for Russia killed?
Elensky and his goons on all levels are profiting from stealing money you send to them.
Generally we are writing checks and depositing them to the munitions producers in the US.
And even if Elensky suddenly gets some kind of conscience , he would not be able to stop it, he would be terminated by the people who are making money.
So THAT is the reason we are still doing this. So whatever you are calling Zelensky these days is a criminal genius.
These people know that they are getting out of Ukraine to Western Europe with tons of euros/dollars.
I would assume an island with no extradition treaty would be the better option. Why are they suffering in Ukraine still, if they have their alleged tens of millions already?
